Throw any relevant stats in here.

Why we won't lose to the Roosters this weekend;

Danny Buderus - 5 games this year for 5 wins. We don't lose when this man plays!

Jono, I don't know whether you saw my comment in your sims thread in the NRL section but kudos to you on your predictive talent currently.

You are nailing it. Hope you are right about the Knights.

Oh yes I did, thank you. It was much better years ago when I actually watched every game and knew every player that played. Bit harder these days to get data as accurate as I use to.

But I'm happy it's doing as good as it is, it makes me look good and hopefully in the future it's something I can use to sell or make money from lol.

I haven't checked your points spread (predictive) vs. actual but if its better than 50% accurate, you might look at betting on the 1-12 +13 aspect, just for some seed money.

That thread was mostly all random data besides player ratings, home games and coaches ratings.

But If I did it week to week with all data input it'd have more accurate outcome with the margins I'd say.

Well the obvious one is the 4 in a row one that's already been mentioned this week.

I was waiting to bust this one out when we finally kicked one, but we haven't kicked a FG since Round 21, 2010 vs the Sharks, which is a bloody long time. Our last two wins I thought we had good reason to snap one but still nothing.

in the last 10 games v roosters it's been a W-L-W-L etc record so if that is anything to go by the trend will continue with a W for us!

So everything is looking good besides the 'we haven't won 4 in a row in ages' stat!

Don't worry about the "haven't won 4 in a row for ages" stat Jono, we're due!

Here's some depressing stats from the business end of the season.

We've won just 1 of our last 5 games.

In that 5 game span, the highest amount of points we scored was 18 - and averaging just 12.8 points per game which would be close to worst in the comp in the last 5 games.

Since round 8 our record is 5-1-8 (W-D-L).

This team annoys me :x

Now that the regular season has finished, here's some random stats..

We finished with a for and against of +104; Our best since 2002 believe it or not!

This was our best attacking year since 2006 and our best defensive year since 1998!

We played 11 games against top 8 teams and won just 4 of them.

We finished the season with the 6th best attack (1 point behind the Bulldogs) and 5th best defense.

Some more stats from this year:

We won our home games by an average of 27-14.

Our home points differential of +156 was bettered only by the Storm (+189).

We lost our away games by an average of 17-21.2, an area we were clearly well behind the top four teams who all had impressive positive numbers in this area.

We conceded the third least penalties this year (142) while winning 10/24 penalty counts. Somewhat ironically (although we've discussed at length on here that maybe it isn't actually that ironic) the Roosters conceded the most with over 200.

We used 6 goalkickers this year (Gidley, Roberts, Mantellato, Buderus, Gower, Gagai).

Nice stats Rod.

The stats would indicate this was a top top year for us compared to the last decade, and it was only just good enough to scrape into the 8 :(

If we didn't have "that talk" Wayne was talking about, I don't think we would even make the finals. Had we had that talk earlier in the season, I think we could be top 4 as I don't think we would have had that month of hell. Our stats would be even better without those loses, especially the Raiders loss.

Whatever was said has certainly done wonders.

Can someone find out how many tries our 1-5 have scored in total, and how they rank compared to other teams?
