Did something a bit different yesterday. A roasted quarter of suckling pig. Check out the crackling. Best ever crackling. The thin skin of the baby pig made the crackling so crispy. Like eating Smiths Double Crunch

Frenzy , Yep it’s a winner!

The tender pork meat is bloody awesome too. I have a wife of Croatian decent and her family do it every Xmas. I look forward to it every year.

Fox, that’s a crazy Xmas mix. Of course I’m not sure what sort of weight your bro in law is carrying but strokes can be caused from other issues other than weight. Hope he is going ok.
Thanks, DS.

Yeah - he is about 125 kgs, when he should be around 80. He also has diabetes, which he doesn't manage well - the high BSL's were probably the trigger (but, yeah, I'm not a Doctor). I genuinely feel for him - we're trying to surround him with love and support, but it's a tough road ahead.

We had a crazy Christmas…

The GOOD:
The kids (adult) got me a Sharks personalised number plate. AFX 68 (Andrew Fox - 1968)…
I got myself a motorbike - Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport.

The BAD:
Our 2 dogs escaped for 3 hours, which was totally stressful!
THEN: my 40-year old brother-in-law had his second stroke in 6 months! Poor bloke can’t bring himself to lose weight…
The UGLY:?

Did you get a new mirror too?

Oh yeah you don’t want to muck around with diabetes. You have to take that issue serious. Lots of nasty repercussions if you don’t. And there’s a crazy amount of people with diabetes these days. It’s a tough one because alot of people with it don’t want to be told they can’t eat that or do that etc. It’s a brutally cruel medical issue.

Government and the team “won’t someone think of the children” worry about drugs, alcohol etc but the culture of failing ones health is ignored…
Most don’t go to the DR in fear of what they will be told. Then it’s too late and it’s the a steep road to climb which is impossible and ultimately Medicare and the tax payers problem.
Simple lessons early can change lives.
Diabetes is a long steep road - like Boomerang Avenue Lilli Pilli.

3? WTF!!!

At 125 but should be 80, is he a short fella?

I’m 82kg and need to drop 10, I’m not tall and it’s around the belly so bad. Cant be hard to drop 10 right?

Yes, he’s pretty short. Even if he got to 100, he’d be a lot better off.

It's out of stock anyway. None in Australia. I'm supposed be starting on it but can't get it.
Yep.
My wife was on it, but the lack of supply was ridiculous.
She doesn’t like the side effects, also, so she’s just doing as much natural stuff as possible.

I'm not keen on trying it anyway. Had Metformin for a while and shit my bowels inside out on that and those I know who have taken say Ozempic runs are worse and that they also spew all the time.

Seems like a counter productive medicine to me. Fix one thing and phuque up 10 others

Used to think the same but was listening to a podcast, 5 Live Science I believe, but is also good for a lot of other issues like addiction

This one I'm aware of. Lowers the rate of overdose in people with OUD and lowers the drunk rate in people with AUD.

It would be off label use though and someone's going to have to do a clinical trial to get it approved for use for SUDs.
