The book is actually about Bazball and how it has revolutionised test cricket.

Basically a suck up to Baz McCullum.

I suppose England not winning an Ashes series for 8 years, yet to win a world test championship, not being able to win 16 x tests in a row on 2 different occasions has really changed test cricket for the greater good and revolutionised the game.
Bairstow the most disliked Pom sportsman in Australia? He must be close.

Jesus that’s how you finish an innings…

can they do it in big knockout games against better bowling?

SA do it pretty easy in the end winning by 149 runs. They are a real show in this tournament.

Today, the grudge match of the year as we take on our most hated rival, the nasty, horrible Dutch.

Australia v Netherlands.

I suppose the only knock on South Africa atm is can they chase.

All 4 wins have been batting first and posting a huge total.

There one loss was when batting 2nd against the Dutch.

The irony also is last night was the time they actually won the toss and batted first.

Us, England, Sri Lanka sent them into bat and got whacked. We also lost all 3 games we sent them into bat in South Africa after a 2-0 lead a month ago.

Here is a tip Patty just bat first if we meet in the semis. Forget the Dew bullshit just bat.

Interesting debate where does De Kock rate when it comes to keeper batsman behind Gilly.

Sangakkarra would be 2nd

Dhoni 3rd

De Kock 4th possibly.

Depends on what you value batting average or impact on games.

I have a massive mancrush on Jos Buttler for some reason I have him just ahead of De Sook.

And before the kiwis jump on me about Baz McCullum.

All his great double and triple centuries in Tests and great ODI innings came after he gave up the gloves when he wasn't keeping. So I can't put him in that class.

How many good knocks from ABD when he has the gloves?

lol - no...

I think Gilly is interesting because he always kept - Sangakarra, ABDV and Andy Flower are the obvious other ones, Flower might be the one that kept more - but they all batted high, and Flower especially and Kumar in more fragile lineups - if you want the traditional bat 7 keeper, there's no competition - but if you want someone to bat 3 or 4, then the others are better options...

Anyway, just throw Flower in there, and without checking I'd probably have him at 2 as I suspect he was keeper more - AB really was never that I recall their first choice keeper, and Kumar much better with the bat when he gave up the gloves

Andy Flower is a good call. 51.54 average at test level.

Similar average to Gilly in ODIs around 35. Gilly has 16 tons to his 4 but from memory Flower didn't open which would explain why he didn't convert as much.
