would they have any money left from Luke Lewis's departure or had that been spent last season?
It's an ok signing
He made huge improvements last year but has been pretty shit otherwise...
With the only loss to fit him in for 2014 being Brad Tighe, he must be on a pretty affordable deal. It's also only a 3 year contract, so even if he gets big money for 2 of those years it's not likely to hurt too much.Agreed.
Gus and the Panthers had been doing such a great job signing these low risk, high reward players. Unless they got him at a reduced price, this could really backfire for the Panthers.
Titans look to be in full rebuild mode. They do need a retooling after too many stupid signings.
Walsh's distribution was rubbish unless it was via the boot or a hospital pass to Newton. I think we are much better off with Soward & Wallace.

Well done to the Titans, that is really a class act. It's understood Idris informed the Titans of his desire to return to Sydney on Monday due to compassionate reasons.
Titans CEO Graham Annesley said the club put the interests of Idris, not the club, first.
"We are dealing with people's lives and at times, we have to put the best interests of people first,'' said Annesley.
"Jamal has a really close relationship with his family and we respect his desire to spend more time with them in Sydney.
"Jamal has been great on and off the field during his time at the Titans and while we're disappointed to see him go we fully understand and appreciate his personal circumstances.
Classy move by the Tits to allow Idris a release to be with his sick mother. If only some other clubs had the same class.
It truly is. Releasing a player of his quality so quickly and painlessly is honestly an amazing act by them. I can't blame the Raiders for fighting to keep Milford, but you have to admire when the club is willing to take the hit and allow the player to leave. Not having it drag out through the media, not waiting to see if they can make it work to their advantage. Just doing what they feel is best for the player.Well done to the Titans, that is really a class act.
