Titans paid way too much for him and for 5 years if the paper talk was close to the money. This is best for everyone (except James Roberts) imo

It is true that Idris is still a young man but this is his 3rd club in 3 seasons, that in itself is a worry.
His ego is bigger than his gut which is why he is not overly popular in the dressing sheds.
He has a tendency to laziness, unless there are some free burgers on offer, his defence has always been very suspect as it takes him an age to turn and chase.
His form was ok earlier last year but if he even gets near rep footy the Qlders would be doing handstands, they would have him for breakfast.

Actually we let go of jennings to make numerous other moves.

And his attitude wasn't right.

But nice effort.

He actually talks about how many players we have signed right after saying we swapped Jenko for Idris .

Ignore the clown, he is the Roosters bunniesman or doggiesbro.

Yep, it's the new admin seeing a get out clause for 1 of the old management failures.

No wonder it happened so fast.

Circumstances are very similar to that for Jennings leaving Penrith. He was being paid way too much, even for his obvious ability.

There is a lot more to this then is printed.

Titans are a complete rabble of a club.

Would have to agree
there is more to this than we know...

Otherwise it's a good lesson for the other tools trying to get out of contracts. Shut your mouth, do your job and maybe the club your contracted to will do you a solid. Instead we get people carrying on like prized merkins because a club has the gall to make someone adhere to a contract

On another note, am i the only one left that doesnt think Dean Whare is all that and bag a chips?
he looks a good, solid footballer, but people seem to be talking him up as a potential superstar

You're pretty much the only one I think. Very good 2 way player, sets his winger up better then any other centre in the game and is very good defensively.

Its no coindence theatDavid Simmons had his best season(by a long f**king way) playing outside Dean.

Hes very similar to Matai without the crap (neck pain, cheap high shots etc) and he will be overall a better player imo.

He's a good centre. Not done well in other positions. Manly finally worked that out...to the benefit of the Panthers.

The same way nathan merritt did for years with utter feces inside him?
Nathan Merritt is quick and has a bit of footwork. David Simmons is about as average in every area of the game as a player could be. Doesn't excel anywhere, but still managed to be equal leading try scorer.

That was thanks to Dean Whare doing an exceptional job at setting his winger up. He was near the top for linebreak assists at the end of the season. If he had a winger with pace outside of him there would have been probably 10+ more tries in the team aswell. Simmons was put away many times and didn't have the pace to finish it off.

His winger in the world cup was also the leading try scorer for most of the competition, although RTS being a freak definitely helped. Whare was an awful fullback, but the second he moved to right centre he looked a million times better, David Simmons was much better and the team as a whole was much better.
