Yeh because Jennings was so consistent for Penrith.
Cant wait to see Roosters go on a bad run and see how bad Jennings is when things are tough.

Would take Whare and Idris over any center pairing in the comp atm.

While I am stoked to have Idris & Whare for the next few years, Jamie Lyon & Steve Matai just popped in to say hello.

22 & 23 yo centres compared to 31 & 30 yo. You are right IF they stay on the field though. Ours aren't far behind as it is and could have 10 years together

Good point on the age. At this point in time Lyon & Matai are a formidable pairing, but as you say given the ages Idris & Whare could still be doing their thing long after the other pair are retired.

Question to those people having a go at the Broncos for signing Barba on compassionate grounds...

Why is it ok for the Panthers to sign an under contract player on compassionate grounds, but not ok for the Broncos to do the same.

I'm also not seeing those hypocrites in the media make the same noise about it

It's the way it played out or dragged out more like. GC-Brisbane isn't the worst trip yet it was only Brisbane that's the thing... seems to of came from the Broncos rather then Barba

Great signing and I dont really care about whats behind it. The reality is now that all his chances are in the hands of Soward and Wallace!

Lyon would be nice, but his impressive skillset is a bit superfluous for the centres, having one zippy flashy centre and a big bopping offloader, both with solid D, is a really nice pairing to have. There are so many points in the panthers squad it's ridiculous. My bet is top 4 for sure.

I agree that they have a lot of points in them. Great back line, solid forward pack. The question, as others have mentioned, is in the halves. Wallace is balls and Soward is only slightly better nowadays.

If the two of them can operate well together then the sky is the limit.

Lmao

Idris is average at best and people hype it up like Penrith have signed Eric Grothe snr. They let go of Michael Jennings to sign Idris

Btw how many players have they signed in the last 2 years? It has to be near 25 by now

Ill bite.
We've replaced Jennings(25) with Idris(23) and Whare(23). Good trade I'd say.
We've replaced Lewis(30) with Eljiah Taylor(23) and Tyrone Peachey(23). Good trade I'd say.

Gus is shit though of course..

Actually we let go of jennings to make numerous other moves.

And his attitude wasn't right.

But nice effort.

Cartwright told Idris to go and get a haircut and he ran straight back to mummy. I'm over this bloke but I really think that a contract is a contract. It now comes out that he had done the deal with Gould before he approached the Titans ... both him and Penriff should be in court, imho.

Barba allegedly belted his missus and she left him and he wanted to reconcile.

Jamal's mother is very ill.

2 different scenarios.
