I’m amazed that our little club was allowed to win the Comp
I believe we got there fair and square on the day, And Ill never forget it, but to think that the multi million dollar organizations running the whole show are not pushing things in the direction they want is naive. Only way sharks survive is to come up with an out of the box business plan. Its all about Money.

I distinctly remember a quote from the then premier coach in the game Wayne Bennett saying he’s all over what the Broncos players were getting paid, it (managing the salary cap) is all part of winning the premiership, ultimately.

As if the now premier coach in the game doesn’t do the same thing. Has there ever been a more meticulous coach in the game that would be across every aspect of the storm rugby league operations.
Yes, control freak Bellamy does his best Sergeant Schultz impression..... I know nussing about ze salary cap rorting ... yeah right.

Flanno would go well at Newy. The open ended ban is a disgrace.

In Todd Carneys book about to come out he states that Flanno was trying to get him back to the Sharks, meeting with Carney and his manager, all while he (Flanno) was banned from communicating with the club.
That's a little more than talking to the club through email. See what the NRL think.
I personally don't mind if he's allowed to coach again
Both were deregistered & nothing to do with the NRL. Its like saying he cant talk to Joe Public.

No what Im saying is , that Flanno can tell Joe public, whatever he wants. If he wants to say to joe public, that he will be coaching he Sharks next year, come & watch, there is nothign wrong with that.
As a de registered individual , he could do & say pretty much anything in private, that did not involve any entity involved with the NRL. ie players, registered trainers, doctors, etc.
Having said that, Im sure he did all of the above. But I also have said before, he was banned for 1 year, not 2, & by not being able to plan for the following year, effectively made it a 3 year ban.

It was a ridiculous punishment, to not allow a coach to prepare for the years ahead when they manage multi-year contracts.

And then toddles doubles down on the error by letting emotion govern the additional open-ended punishment. Guy is such a knob.
