Absolute disgrace to ban someone indefinitely. Shows the sort of maniacal merkin Greenberg is that instead of banning Flanagan he makes him have to come asking over and over.

Do the UK for 2 years, Todd is hopefully gone, Morris contract done, salary cap back to normal and we re-open Shark Park with Shane cutting the ribbon back at the joint he built.

Hey people believe in much crazier shit than that!

It’s a weird situation.

They know he’s a good coach.

They can drop the ban anytime they like. So if they want someone to go well they can say ok. If they don’t then they can say no.

All applications on their “merits”.

Same situation was applied to Barba and Carney.

It's not too much of a disgrace, Flanno bought it on himself.
On the day he was due to learn his fate he apparently told Greenburg to get f**ked.
You may or may not be a Greenburg fan, but utimately, telling the person who runs the organisation that pays your wage to get f**ked will never help you.

Coupled with the fact that he never learnt from the mistakes he made during his ban the first time, it is easy to see why he has an indefinite ban.
During this year all he has done is piss an moan to anyone that will listen to him and blame us for his short comings and blatant disrespect for the rules.

I am ok if the NRL don't let him back for another 3 or 4 years.
That will be the only way to dent his ego and pull him back into line.

Interesting...

If that's true, and I have no reason to doubt that it is - it's no wonder his kid has such an entitled attitude!!!

As much as you may hate your boss which ultimately is the head of the NRL that approves coaching appointments. If he told Green TURD to f**k off.

Definitely one of the dumbest moves he’s made.

Told Greenberg to get f**ked on the phone after Greenberg delivered the news was the version I got.
He was gone already.

The point is, telling the CEO of the NRL to get f**ked, when that is/was/future your employment was not a very smart move.
Pretty simple.

No, it is a disgrace. Sure, dumb by Flanno, but a disgrace by the NRL. If the rumours about him telling Greenburg to get f**ked are true then it just reinforces what an egomaniac Greenburg is to sulk and ban him indefinitely.

Murderers, rapists, thiefs...they all know what their punishment is.

Meanwhile, a coach of a professional sporting team has nfi when he can coach again.

I heard Greenburg asked him in for a face to face to learn his fate before the press release, Flanno replied with GF.
Before the press release??
Ha
The last place people find out is the press release.

This is how it would’ve gone down .
Greenberg gets Flano to come into the NRL.
By the time he gets there everyone knows he’s gone.
There is a huge press scrum waiting for Flano.
Greenberg is the king and gets to send the evil Flano to the gallows.
Flano has to push through the media in humiliation.

Flano
Knows this is exactly how it will go down.
So instead...
Tells Greenberg to get f**ked.

Well played Flano.

Greensburg lives at Oatley doesn't he?
Flanno could have told him he'd come to his house, not too far away. I reckon Burg wouldn't want a press scrum there.
I also think the commission wouldn't take too kindly to an "employee" (they do provide the cash) telling their choice of management to get f**ked.
Not that well played by Flanno.

100% correct Carch.
Also, do not forget that Flanno has 7 years to lodge a statement of claim. The burn for that has not gone away. He will wait for when the heats on Greenburg then add to the fire. i.e.. if a certain retiring footbaler releases a book about the ASADA scandal.

Problem is that he agreed to the terms then violated them.
Should he have not challenged from the start?
