Whilst being a dragons fan myself I kinda feel for Flanno. I don’t think he deserves what he has copped despite the dramas whilst he has been coach. How is coaches like Bellamy, Arthur and whoever else has rorted the system in some way escaped any sanctions. I seriously think flannos intentions are for the best for the sharks but he may not be the brightest tool in the shed when it comes to covering his arse. But I can’t cop others getting away with the old Schultz saying. I know nutting.

Honestly it’s stupidity that gets the likes of Flanno and our club caught for this shit. Bloody teenagers cover their tracks better than these dopes

But the last year or two, the players have seemed either underdone or burnt out. Plus the injuries increased exponentially last year.

Burn out from doing the same thing for years isn’t uncommon among athletes.
The new guys like Morris and Johnson might improve, but the long termers will struggle under the same regime.
I would put 2017 down to more mental burn out than physical.
This year they did look a bit jaded but besides Graham what other long term player was out for a good spell?
Dugan was in his first year and has been injury prone for a fair while.
They still made it to the prelim.
I just think right now we will need some stability and experience and he's all that.
I do get what you are saying though.

This is exactly why he got caught and he deserves everything he gets.

Storm, Bulldogs, Parra and the many clubs that never get caught. Did any coach get suspended? Never. Why because they were not stupid.

You can't tell me Bellemy knew nothing about the storms cap cheating. He just wasn't stupid enough to have his name all over it.

How dumb are we as a club.

Sadly this matches with a first hand account from a mate who worked with him at Harvey’s. I mentioned it in the Sponsors thread. My mates not a league fan, but was not impressed with baz at all. Reckons the Harvey’s job was a fan boy appointment in the first place

it is so strange why the board even picked BR, seriouslly what qualities has he brought to the club since taking the role? he mentions integrity, thats all well and good especially when the club is on the brink of ruin and maybe he could spell integrity in bricks when the place falls over

Wasnt one of the other ceos wanting the role have like 25 plus years as a ceo of an afl team?

after seeing the club struggle in the 80's, get saved in the late 90's thanks to a handshake, slip during that punch happy ceo, faulter during the sex scandals, be bent over by coaches contracts, fall down sewers during asada,

i honestly feel that the club cannot come back from this as the business community would well and truly look the other way when seeing a call from the cronulla sharks wanting to talk sponsorships

No sponsors , currently no revenue...economy not looking to great soon and sponsors walking away. Another massive fine coming from Salary cap investigation, probably kill off our cap as well so players like Wade are gooonne
Only saving grace would be a loan and talk up the commercial development. But being the Sharks they have probably f*ckedd up that as well.
And you have Morrison in your corner as well.

hmmmm, who to blame....
A. Flange stupidly flouts the rules leaving an easy to find paper trail.
B. Bazza self reports a minor cap breach, brings on an $800k fine and gets the coach sacked.
C. Greenburg who ignores the shit the big clubs do and beats up on the little ones.

The answer is always D. All of the above.

Ahhhh the Sharks. Just when they show signs of competence, idiocy rears its head to bring us back to earth.
