I even gave you the game and minute of a compilation of Mortimer hits. You just made some idiot comment about that being the only tackles he made all year.
Honestly, if Mortimer's 400+ 'tackles' aren't proper tackles then neither are any other half's.
Every halfback in the NRL gets help in defence. Coaches would prefer that none of their players - from front-rowers to fullbacks - are forced into making one-on-one tackles. That's why we keep a straight line in defence.
Stop living in the 70s lingard.
I don't think Morts was as bad as you remember.
You're displaying a very obvious cognitive bias regarding what Mortimer did last year.
bullsh*t.
Anderson and Kearney.
By saying he's first choice for one of the halves spots.
But training has.
He said it on video.
Nobody said he's excited about our halves options. Honestly, who is? That's why we're all hoping, and the management are making indications, that they are on the lookout for a topline playmaker.
I think we should be looking for a playmaker with some explosiveness and footwork, which is why Braith would be a waste of money in our side.
Humble does indeed have explosiveness and footwork out of all our halves options but there's still question marks over his brains and ball-skills.
After all, he wasn't much of a playmaker in NYC - even Morts was better than him.
