Fancy having that much of a crush on john morris you're actually ecstatic to see us bounced out of the finals. The stench of the morris mediocrity was always going to take longer than 1 season to wash away.

We had a season without him, then we got Fitz.

Last night Mr Morris helped plot our defeat. Absolute master class.

Iv got him down for an -A to many positives to list but we only focus on negatives in this place so with hindsight here are a few misses imo.

Tricky on the bench was a complete failure but he kept persisting all season long, it’s been a detriment to Trindals game. Should of played 7 all year for the jets and he would currently be a better player for it.

Moving Wilton to the bench and again persisting with Wade, the whole left edge fell apart in attack once Graham started, like Tricky I think Wilton’s game suffered as well with the reduced game time.

A hard one but he debuted plenty of future stars but never persisted with them, JC or Hazelton could of been given a lot more games and imo surpassed maybe Tolman, Fifita or Uele at the end of the season when we needed young fresh forwards.
Like wise with Iro if he had been given 5-6 games earlier on I dare say he would of been a better option than Tracey last night.
Miller could of taken Trickys bench spot and got more games under his belt as a utility or be kept at 1 over a injury retuning Kennedy.

Bench rotation sucked all season long, nearly every game this year you can see a middle really struggling but be left on for them to come up with missed tackles or handling errors when they should of already been replaced.

I know it’s not his style but 1-2 post match blow ups about the refs would of been beneficial.

Im extremely happy with the season we had and the direction Fitz is taking us.

Morris is gone. Get the f**k over it. So many fickle merkins around here today.

We expect consistency from NRL officials.

We should be applying consistency to our assessment of our own staff as well.

All of these supposed previous weaknesses have not been addressed adequately. The players are now a good 2-3 years down the track and haven't taken the next step up. This was always a process but unfortunately the trajectory has not been Improved.

Are you guys really pleased with the mentality and structures over the last two weeks?

Look deep inside and have a good think about it. You don't need to say anything, just sit on it. Let the ego slide and just analyse.

You don’t judge a full season on the last 2 weeks. You are identifying it to suit your agenda. The whole club has improved as a result of Fitz being here. It’s ok that you need to cling to your original opinion that reflects more on you as a person. But you are wrong.

Results = 0

Couldn't do it when it counted.

Sure he's a good bloke. No one can dispute that. But good clubs don't accept mediocrity. Everyone is accountable from the CEO to the ballboy.

I know you know this. You yourself have been highly critical of our team in many areas. But you have a blind spot here unfortunately.

Morris win rate - 47.1 %
Fitzgibbon win rate - 66%

That's an upwards trajectory

Morris table position - 9th, 8th, 9th
Fitzgibbon table position - 2nd

That's an upwards trajectory

All of these supposed previous weaknesses have not been addressed adequately.

One was. The club addressed a weak coach and replaced with a stronger coach :)

What are the other "supposed weaknesses"?

Total garbage.

Everyone but the winning team should sack the
Coach based on your theory.

0 results? The team finished 2nd, analyse that.

Unlike you I have connections to the club as a sponsor, those connections afford me a much better insight into the goings on behind the scenes. You are flat out wrong and making up shit to either be a troll or worse seriously put forward your thoughts that he has done a poor job.

I’m done with you mate, you’re just a knob.

Just to put in my biased (outsider) and 2 cent worth viewpoint.
Morris did outstanding job at sharks that we still benefit from. Being not far enough removed from senior playing group and management ....(going from contracted player to contracted coach with not much break .)made some tough decisions just impossible.
The change to Fitz was handled even worse than Morris dealings with Fifita. I think Morris will thrive and be a top teir coach of the future in a good setup. I would think he is much better option for a club than some of the current names(untried at highest level or past use by date ) being bandied about as replacements at different clubs.

In saying that the move to different coach without the recent player affiliations of Morris was proven correct. Fitz has proven this year he is good coach. Has taken us a step further, .... But can the side take the final step without a dominating enforcer in the middle? And an intimidating last line of defence ? I was Kennedy fan . Thought he was improving and maybe injuries have set him back.... But maybe better a bigger uglier fullback ,little less skillfull in attack but scarier on the line in defence. Can it be done without forking out some big money? Do we have that money ?
