I thought Nicho played best the other night when he went in at first receiver and looked a tad lost when he played further out.
Huge part of that is being behind a poor forward pack and slow service from the hooker so the time he got it 2 wide was rushed.
Was a set or 2 where he demanded the ball at first receiver on a few plays back to back and really looked like an out and out 7 and think that’s going to be his best position.
If that’s the case I can’t see Trindal playing 6 or even in the top few options at 6 and have him behind a few for the 14 jumper as well.

Just curious mate.... Were you a WK fan early on?

No I wasn’t and a small part of me still isn’t.
He is our best option at the club and building nicely but not as in love as most. Really didn’t like his defensive positioning all year.
His catch and pass game is spot on, safe under the high ball but lacked some creative instinct and seemed to run the same line to often, most of that will/should come along in the next 12 months and then I’ll be sold but I’m not sold on him as our fullback for the next 10 years yet like some.

Fair enough mate... wasn't having a dig. Pretty sure WK finished in the top 10 in the Dally M's which is a pretty fair effort in his second full season. I like the fact that both Nico and WK are instinctive footballers and I see Tricky as a perfect foil for them both. I might well be talking out my arse but I can see the indigi boys and Brails being a successful long term spine for us

I'm actually wondering if Moylan will in fact be the chief play maker, and Nicho the more traditional 5/8 position. We'll know soon enough what they've been training for, but it would not surprise me in the least, and it wouldn't shock me if that is completely wrong.

Trindall hasn't really shown me much more than being a poor Chad atm. Hard to go by the Allstars game of course but he's still showed no pace and just an average no7 to me.

Only my opinion but Tricky has already surpassed Chad in about 10 or so starting games. Whether or not he he goes on to be a long term first-grade half remains to be seen but I'm confident he will. Happy to be proved wrong.

Well I wouldn't be, I hope Trindall kicks on as a decent halfback in the NRL but I dont see it at this stage, he did some ok things last year for me. I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

Probably the wrong term I used...been wrong plenty of times would be more accurate. Think WK... He was pretty underwhelming early on and has come along in leaps and bounds. I reckon Tricky will do the same... Especially with the quality of player around him now and the guidance of a proper coach (apparently)
