With 3 frontline props out, surely the NRL will allow the Warriors to gain access to a local loan player?

The New Zealand Warriors have lost first-choice prop Leeson Ah Mau long-term after scans confirmed he has a ruptured pectoral picked up in training in Tamworth on Friday.

The 30-year-old Kiwis international, who has made 205 NRL appearances, is expected to be sidelined for up to four months after undergoing surgery.

The news was confirmed on the Warriors' website on Sunday morning. Ah Mau will stay in Australia for his operation later this week before returning home.

One of the club's most durable players, Ah Mau hadn't missed a game since returning home last season.

He was the only player to appear in each of the Warriors' 24 games last season and also started the first two this year against Newcastle and Canberra.

The Warriors are set to restart their season when they take on the Dragons on May 30.

Far out, Jazz injured too now.

Knee injury, scans in nek 24 hours will show the extent.

Are we going to be able to field a team at this rate.. How many players do we have over there currently?

They have 30, if not more judging on the plane numbers they released a couple weeks ago. Still don't know why they haven't given us a full list... Must not be hard to put together!

With Jazz likely out, I guess that means Curran vs Papalii vs Blair for the lock jersey. Jazz gives us some skill and off loads in the 13 jersey, not sure what Curran brings but I'd be keen to see what he's got.

Props is our massive issue.. JTB is basically our 3rd/4th prop now, so great chance for him to step up and build on what he showed in round 1 and 2. Paasi will come in for LAM, but we are no doubt 2 props short. Paasi, Burr, JTB, Blair.. That's so weak. Tom Ale might have a sniff, also a Tuimavave-Gerard.

Paasi
Egan
Burr
Harris
Katoa
Curran

Lawton/Roache
Blair
JTB
Papalii

Think our second rowers are going to have to make most of our metres this year.

So many unknowns and variables. f**k I can't wait for the season to start. All it took was a massive pandemic to reinvigorate my love for the game and the warriors

Have Fus and Roache travelled yet? With Jazz out Roache becomes more important

Yeah Roache is there and I think hell be good to go from Rd 3.
Remember we still have Nikorima to play from the bench too, surely we don't play both or them?

2 hooker 1 prop and a back rower, deffo seems like a SK bench

Depends where Nikorina plays I guess. Could use him in the halves given we’ve got plebty of hooker cover.
But Prop is the massive issue now. Any of the back rowers likely to move forward?

Fit props in the to squad according to the official page:

Paasi
Burr
JTB
Jackson Frei
Tom Ale

who else moves up front? Katoa and Papaali have the size but Papaali will be needed at 13 with Tevaga out. Adam “zero metres” Blair?

Jackson Frei is out, did his ACL in the preseason game against the Storm.

Yes Roache is with the team, the team restarted their two week isolation when he arrived last week, they will finish this on Thursday I believe. Fusitua went over last week, but is in isolation by himself and unable to train, hence he will be unavailable when season restarts
as he will have to get back up to speed.

I assume Fus still has access to fitness training facilities? Would hope he’s not just sitting in a motel room playing PlayStation, haha

Is it bad luck or our training/conditioning? We’re low on props as it is
The new training/conditioning guy is rubbish. IMO he's training them like he would a union sevens team, which is basically just a touch footy side

Keighrans gone down with a knee injury today (awaiting scans). Does make you wonder just what the f**k is going on over there.
