No need to rush Moylan s return. It would appear his potential move to the halves is on hold for the time being.

Update on TMM:

He doesn't need surgery but will need to rehabilitate his shoulder and is expected to make a return in September

Since there is no such thing as luck regarding injuries, credit for this good news must surely go to our highly competent medical staff.

You mean our incompetent medical staff who were wrong with their initial diagnosis? Honestly how did it take us this long to realise the injury wasn't as bad as we thought?

You can never really tell with a shoulder injury until the swelling dissipates and the joint settles down. This can take upto a month.

It also wasn't our staff that diagnosed it.

But hey, any chance to lay the boot in.

All I know is shoulders are the most f**ked joints we have, I have had problems with mine for a while from the gym and from my physio trips I've learned there are a shitload of parts to the joint and the muscles that make it move, I still don't really know what my problem is despite having it explained to me ten times, it's getting better though.

I'm just happy we have only two guys out. One who did an ACL and one a very rare shoulder injury. Maybe luck and maybe training who knows. We are definitely doing a hell of a lot better than previous years and have good options to cover those two guys at least.

Hey he wanted to credit our medical staff for the initial results being wrong and the injury being less severe than expected. Because if it couldn't be luck (and who the hell has ever said luck has zero part in injuries?) It must be our medical staff. I just went the opposite way.

Luck plays some part in injuries. But poor management of injuries, and subpar training and/or medical staff play a huge part too. Anyone thinking it doesn't is in denial. We aren't simply unlucky every single year with injuries. We make it worse on ourselves. If it were luck we would have seasons where we were healthy all year too. When was the last time that happened to us?

Whares run of injuries is a perfect example. He was poorly managed from his initial injury and as a result didn't get to play a full game all season.

We are actually fairly healthy atm. This year has just been a normal run for an NRL team.

IF you keep expecting us to have an injury run similar to the cowboys recently you are probably going to be disappointed a lot. What other club has had a run like that in recent memory? We are doing better this year than the last two so I will take it.

You have pro sports teams across Europe and America that would be spending a fortune on injury prevention and treatment and they still get decimated by injuries.

Re TMM, it wouldn't of been our staff that made the initial diagnosis and it probably wasn't our staff that made the 2nd diagnosis so I wouldn't be crediting them, If he actually plays again this year I will credit them. I think the rehab and recovery is where we make mistakes, injury prevention is really hard to judge because you can do everything right and still blow out a knee but you can spot a mistake with recovery, ala Whare and the calf.

 well played sir, well played

To swing it the other way, since our med staff are infallible, I want to thank the footy gods for this token of good luck they have granted us ;-)

But to be serious, that's great news for TMM - The kid is pure talent and needs as much footy as he can get.
