Similar to when we kept playing Gutho with a torn meniscus last year. Made it worse in the last game against Penrith and his knee will never be the same

He will be unavailable for 12 weeks as he recovers from the surgery.

Or all the weeks before that. If we gave every injured merkin a rest until all their injuries were healed we wouldn’t be able to put a team on the field. We would be coming last ffs!

Yeah a back injury is just like every other injury.....

Not all back injuries are the same. Some are just soft tissue injuries, and Hopgood's obviously wasn't too bad to stop him getting picked for Origin. I reckon the only reason he is getting surgery instead of playing on painkillers is because our season is toast.
