Massive loss.

Beau started the season slowly and had some poor errors in his game, but he's be a commanding presence the last few weeks.

Who takes his spot on the bench? Gower?

Faaaark..... bad news for both but especially Kaysa by the sounds of it.... will test him mentally as much as physically you'd think....

So we have 5 top 17 middle forwards out, Peni, IDG, Pritchard, Pritchard and Scott.

That would test any sides depth!!

Not just Moeroa but also time for some of highly vaunted second tier players to step up.

The following are all in our "NRL Squad" and should be able to step up:
Cameron King
Jack Morris
Cody Nelson
Marata Niukore
Rory O'Brien
Jeff Robson
Kelepi Tanginoa
Joseph Ualesi
Matt Woods

If two of them aren't good enough choices to replace Beau and Kaysa, then they should be dumped from the squad and be replaced with someone who is able to step up when needed.
They all have extensive experience against grown men in ISP and at least 5 of them have FG experience.

Time to shit or get off the pot with our reserves.
Other teams seem to debut players and go ok - we have not debuted anyone this year or last except for French.

@Kornstar going straight for his own jugular with the doomsaying. I'd say chip up soldier but that probably just makes it easier access to be honest.

On a serious note, these two injuries make Sundays win the very definition of a Pyrrhic Victory. I think we can cover for Beau Scott to an extent. Tepai can move to the middle if need be while Gower is a proven option. Marata Niukore is deserving of a chance in the NRL should be opt to move Tep and find need of an edge forward. We could even take a flyer on someone like Ray Stone if it came to it. We have options in the backrow at the least.

Kaysa's injury is a heavy blow though and puts us down our first and second choice rakes in De Gois along with Kaysa himself. Any team that is leaning on its third and fourth string hooking options is going to be doing it tough.

Hence why I beg the question is Cam King really that bad? If his not gonna be used now then why have him? He had huge wraps on him at St.George, what has happened?

The worst case scenario is always my go to, protects me from disappointment and always makes wins more exciting.

On their own the injuries aren't the end of the world but our injury toll is rising and that's not good for any team wanting to make the finals.

Surely we can start with King (50 mins) and finish with Smith to cover for Pritchard.

We need to get 240 mins in the middle out of Brown (70), Moeroa (30 in the middle, after 20 mins on the edge), which still only leaves 35 mins average each from Alvaro, Mannah, Vave, Matagi, with Gower also in the mix.

We can also just try and get 80 from Edwards and give Beau's role straight to Moeroa.

I dont see it as the end of the world yet.

If there are concerns about King's defence, we need to work out how to cover it. Not sure how we do that.

Beau Scott is a big loss, but we are blessed in the fact we have Gower who can come in and do a bloody good job, imo.

Pritchard, though - huge loss. With De Gois also out, we are really lacking in the 9 department.

When is Gower back?

He's the obvious choice if fit

Beau is a massive loss though ... he is our defensive rock
