Injury Update: Round 14

The Parramatta Eels can provide the following injury update ahead of the Round 14 clash with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Bailey Simonsson has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024 season with a knee injury. The outside back has suffered a torn ACL which will require season-ending reconstruction surgery.

Ryan Matterson is making good progress from persistent headaches he has suffered from recently. He needs to complete a full week of training, including contact, before he can return to play.

I just had this strange unwanted/imaginary thought... of Lussick sulking when he wasn't picked last week, and instead spending game day around at his old mate BA's place - getting ready to watch the broadcast and bond over their criticism of the choice of Hands as starting hooker and playing for 80mins

Kelma Tuilagi will face the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night to dispute the grading of a Dangerous Throw charge.

The Parramatta Eels can provide the following injury update ahead of the Round 16 bye week.
Kelma Tuilagi has sustained an injury to his thumb which requires surgery and rules him out for 6-8 weeks.
As a result of the updated injury diagnosis received today, the Eels have decided to plead ‘no contest’ to Kelma’s charge at the NRL Judiciary.

Judiciary Update: Kelma Tuilagi
J'maine Hopgood, who was ruled out of Queensland Maroons selection ahead of Origin II, is currently being monitored and treated for a lower back injury. His progress will be monitored over the coming days before a course of action is finalised.
Maika Sivo is expected to be available for the Eels' next match against the Newcastle Knights in Round 17. The winger missed the past two matches with a hamstring injury, but is closing in on a return to full fitness.
Bailey Simonsson recently underwent successful surgery on an ACL injury. The outside back will miss the remainder of the 2024 NRL season.

Classic Parra finally to decide to go to the judiciary to fight a charge.

Then find out the player is injured and plead no contest so instead of 4 match ban with an early plea it's now a 5 match ban.

We have 2 byes in the next 4 weeks so the club must be confident Kelma is out for 8 weeks as technically the 5 matches is basically a 8 week lay off with the byes.
