BEST: Everyone excpet Ian Chappell

WORST: Ian Chappell

 Thats what i was gonna say.

Seriously, Kerry is the best by quite a distance for entertainment value while commenting. In fact, id much rather listen to the radio commentators than the TV ones any day....its just the TV ones have the advantage of it being on TV.

I think Martin Crowe and Grant Nesbitt both are good commentators, and the only ones in NZL that have a good voice. I think one time they brought over Graham Hughes to boost ratings or whatever. It was like Ray Warren commentating cricket:

"He's hit it beautifully, WILL IT GO ALL THE WAY, YES TRY, UMM I MEAN FOUR RUNS".

U got Greg Blewett three times Tommy

is he that bad ?
Only 3? I thought i wrote him down 4 times. Yes, he's that bad.

He single handedly ensured that i only watched the Channel 4/SBS coverage of the Ashes. At the beginning of the series i occasionally flicked over to watch Sky's coverage but once he came on board and i found out just how bad he was i never flicked over to Fox again.

Richie always explains that the key to tv cricket commentary is to add to the pictures as opposed to describing what people already see. But Blewett is the worst i have ever seen at just stating the obvious, what we can see.

I don't mind the Kiwi bloke (can't remember his name) that joins the ABC team here in Australia whenever NZ are in the country.

Brian Waddle. Don't mind him either.

I can never really take Nassar Hussien or Mike Atherton seriously when they commentate. They talk about what great tactics they would employ but their captaincy records would say they aren't the best tacticians.

"This is nice, flat looking Gabba wicket......I think we'll have a bowl"

Nice call Nass. :D

Waqar Younis is the worst commentator I have ever had the misfortune of listening to.

Ian Healy used to be right up there with him, but he's really picked up his game the summer. He's still sh*t, but he isn't the second worst anymore.

Navjot Sidhu is now a member of parliament in India. He only had a short stint in commentary but was great for a laugh:

'Statistics are like miniskirts, they reveal more than what they hide'
'Wickets are like wives - you never know which way they will turn'
'The Indians are finding the gaps like a pin in a haystack'

As for commentators Harsha Boghle is up there with the best.
