Certified sucks at Origin level, regularly goes missing during big occasion games, As demonstrated during last year's finals series where Cronulla were one and done in Wk1 after he missed a field goal to square it, has done nothing of note individually for the better part of 12 months, completely blew it for the Sharks tonight with a shit pass leading to a knock on, a penalty for an escort with 8 to go and missing the goal to take it to GP, and Cronulla are starting to look better when he isn't even in the side.

Ever since he got trounced in his debut Origin series then subsequently crucified by the media, he hasn't been the same. I'm sure there is the framework for a great player in there somewhere, but as of right now he hasn't shown it much at all. Instead the Blues lose Origin 1 and already the NSW talking heads can't wait to be rid of him in favor of Moses.

He’s one of the best halves in the games and that’s about where he is rated.

f**k me he was good in that breakout season for us though. Papi was in the debate for best fullback in the league and we looked significantly better when Hynes took over. I still wonder if we would have won that year with him starting, we just looked unreal with him at the back.

After origin and the dolphins game you’d have to say yes. Problem is, he’s a well above average player but the media carry on like he’s the new Andrew Johns

Everyone rates him as an incredible down hill skier who you don't want near the ball in high pressure situations.

So no he's not overated.

Mitchell Moses tier but some how the tank commander doesn't get hammered as much.

Deer in the headlights, oh and best suited to playing at fullback

Dally M at halfback and led a side to 2nd, 6th and currently 1st in the 3 years at Cronulla... C'mon now he clearly struggles in pressure moments but he'd be one of the best halfbacks over the past few years.

Hate to agree with someone who's never heard of Jason Smith but it occurred to me tonight he's a bit of a downhill skier.

One of those rare bad decisions from Bellamy to put Paps right back in imo

Nicho Hynes when he is on is pretty damn good and a top five halfback. More clubs than not would take him over the halfback they currently have.

But.....it is getting harder to deny that his game goes to a lower standard when the stakes are higher.

I also think his style of play just hasn't gelled in a rep style scenario.....not unlike Brett Kimmorley for instance.
