Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Yeah I do not really understand the recent hate. Sure he stuffed up previously, but unlike his other teams, he has actually recruited well and our gameplan last season was good.

Stick has some defensive issues but we played upbeat attacking football. Obviously as a raiders fan I'd rather win by 1 in the most dire match of all time but its odd that guys who are neutral on game day would dislike sticky. The raiders are exciting if nothing else.

He also learnt his lesson from the eels. He didn't pull out the projector but made sure he had replacements lined up before moving players on. It helps the raiders have buckets of salary cap after the disaster that was David furners last few years of man management.

I couldn't care less who knocked him back to come and play for your busted club.
As far as his time at Canberra has been concerned, he's had 2-3 high profile misses but he's also go Sezer, Hodgson, Austin, Whitehead, Soliola, Waqa, Leilua, FPN and soon Junior Paulo. He also re-signed about 10 players within the squad, guys like Papalii, Wighton, Vaughan, Boyd, Austin,

No one bats 1.000, but now that he's at a club that isn't a total f**king basket case like Parramatta, he's proving to be very good recruiter.

From furners last team the only areas that are worse if fullback but wighton is improving but milford is a generational talent and centre where Ferguson is tough to replace. Little short on props maybe.

I'm certain our defense will get better, we are still a relatively young squad.

In fairness the players he kicked out at parramatta were shocking. He did the right thing.

I'm not that bothered we can afford to pay him out if we have to and all the players will no doubt have release clauses if he gets the boot because any player manager worth his salt puts those bad boys in (because I mean why not)

So its not the end of the world to extend him to when all his signings come off contract. That said if he fails now then I would hope the Raiders could find some job for him. He is the best recruiter we have had in ages plus he makes other fans angry for whatever reason they have
