Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

I respectfully disagree.

While I lay 90% of the blame for the spoon in 2013 at Stuart's feet, the 2013 squad still had plodders like Reni Maitua, Matt Keating, Ben Smith, Brayden Williame, Jake Mullaney and Matt Ryan playing regular First Grade. There was a sprinkling of talent there, but it was a decidedly average squad.

Enter 2014 and, thanks to Ricky, we have a quality hooker, a 5/8 who is solidly going about his job and (thanks to Kearney), a world class talent in Hopoate out wide.

Stuart is a shit coach and he drilled the spoon into us, but our 2013 squad was dreadful. Jake f**king Mullaney, FFS!

Matt Ryan had some signs of a half decent footballer before Stuart got hold of him . Hopefully Fensom finds a way to escape him before Ricky murders the career of one guy that deserves better .

He was ok, but he was never going to be better than average IMO.

We've upgraded massively by playing Edwards, Ma'u and our young blokes.

I despise Stuart with a burning fire of hatred, but IMO we had a bottom four side in 2013 that was exacerbated by having that pale-faced, fart-mouthing goon-addicted gaybo as coach.

Hey with Haynes injuries and Fifty Lions going of the rails you won't hear me say in 2013 we should've been a team even remotely impressive . However IMO the guys that were playing went backwards under that wanker .

No one is really defending him at all, merely pointing out that the very reason parramatta are much better this year than they were last is because of him

Parramatta fans can ignore if they like, doesn't change the fact that without Stuart putting the broom through that disgusting squad they called a professional football team, they'd be wooden spooners or close too again this year under Brad Arthur

you can credit it him for Peats and Norman maybe. that's about it

and Ricky had that many players knock him back it's not funny
