can't believe we were still in with a chance of making the finals lol terrible comp this year
anyway I stopped caring about the Raiders this season many weeks back...

Ricky is neither a brilliant coach, nor a shite coach. He is an inconsistent coach. Can create a brilliant team for a period, but it is a house of cards that will invariably collapse to a stinking pile of turd.

Raiders looked like a top8 lock and chance for the 4 until kikau broke CNKs neck. Lack of depth and then some internal turmoil and they fell apart.
Raiders and Dragons are better teams than the sharks and knights imo but are just a mess of inconsistency and off field drama. Of the weaker teams making the 8 it is knights surviving on consistently getting lucky with reffing, Sharks just hanging in and winning tough games when needed.

I pointed out in a game day thread the Knights soft draw. The only top 6 team they had to play twice this season was the Roosters. We had to play Roosters, Storm, Eels and Sea Eagles twice.

Knights beat us twice this year though so can't say we are better than them...

Pretty fair article. Seems like he has been watching this thread and maybe visited the GH lol
Mentions Stuarts terrible use of the bench, not adapting to the new rules, the clubs poor handling of Bateman and Williams and also Wighton's poor form.

When it comes to the raiders they reap what ricky sows. They need to stop taking it so personally! Imagine it could have been a very different season if Bateman had got that bit more money he was after and stayed and sam Williams had been supported and played out the year.

It's hard to get excited when you know the coach isn't up to it anymore- so there won't be accountability or a refresh of either the playing ranks or a change of coach. We are the only team not to have recruited a player for 2022. Let that sink in and what it means for the acceptance of mediocrity and an already stale playing group...

Feels a bit like being a Dragons fan under Mary, but at least they had some hope he'd be turfed.

Rubbish. We were playing awful all season before that game. We jagged a couple of wins early before other teams hit their stride but we played the entire season like blokes who look like they just met in the car park- no cohesion. Painful to watch.

The same glaring holes in our style- no speed, no passing ability and a poor game plan which were brutally evident when a team with speed, passing ability & a smart coach blew us off the park in the 2020 semi v Melbourne were made apparent multiple times this season. The Panthers had barely hit 2nd gear in that game, then blew 20 points on us in 15 minutes because that's what good teams do in Vlandysball.

We can't do that because we lack the attacking chops and we certainly don't magically get those chops when CNK plays- he can't run the most basic of backline sweep passes and he's not quick... Great defensively but very, very limited in attack.

it cannot be stated enough how badly ricky f**ked up this season and the teams failure is 100% on him.
I wonder how the different the season could have been if Timoko and HSS were the starting centres from week 1.

Instead of reverting to a fast attacking game plan with a mobile forward pack, Ricky went all in on senior citizens and assumed simple one up hitups with no ball movement and Hodgson crash balls 10m out would be enough to win games. He needs to be kicked out of the club but there is zero chance of that happening no matter how bad the results are.

Whinging like the NRL didn't allow one of his players to serve an on-field and off-field suspension simultaneously.

Guess he going down the "whole NRL is against us" form of motivation for the Raiders this season.

That's the biggest f**king hypocrisy out of this. Ricky Stuart is such a moron, a hypocritical moron.

Jordan Rapana gets suspended for drink driving and two shoulder charges in the All-Stars game, which he's allowed to serve concurrently. No one made Jordan Rapana put on those dog shots (especially the Fifita one) on. Oh yeah, but Sticky says he wouldn't have been playing...which is technically right but it's such BS excuse making whinging.

How about your players don't drink and drive, or tackle with their shoulders. Dickhead.
