My point is that Ricky is a sook and it's all woe is us when something goes against the Raiders, and it's the worst thing that's ever happened in the league. But when something benefits his club, he's deathly silent. When he says 'it's the Canberra Raiders copping it up the arse again' that clearly means he thinks they're the biggest victims. Oh yeah then he says 'I am in disbelief and disgusted that it always seems to happen to us.' Waah waah I'm so victimised.
The NRL f**ked something up again but a guy who drove drunk then didn't bother to use his arms two times in quick succession doesn't qualify for a givealittle page.
I get that he whinges a lot but you have to look at the power dynamic. The Raiders are not a powerful club so he is simply pushing their barrow which benefits the club enormously. Do you think that if he wasn’t there that the Raiders’ position would get anywhere near as much traction as it does. Anyway, every coach or club is trying to gain an advantage and do it regularly through the media-
Btw he is quite right about how rules are continually bent for the benefit of certain clubs. If you don’t want people to whinge then the ARLC should just apply the rules as they were rather than change for somebody’s interest (and they do it constantly)
Anyway you could better list a whole bunch of thing to complain about: the inefficacy of the salary cap, failure to expand the game properly, problems with junior development/country RL; player managers and the transfer market and constant media bagging of the game as just some
