Im with Sticky on this one. Anyway Manly is wasting their time in Gosford, i'd guess they are no more well liked up here than they are in western sydney, even less so for a lot of bears and northern eagles fans.

The f**king reality is that Manly might one day need a bloke from west of the Blueys, another Cliffy Lyons maybe, instead of poaching him they could try to establish a feeder. The NRL should make it mandatory that all clubs establish relations with areas that are trying to produce players but too far removed to get to games . . . do you think watching Manly just on f**king TV for all those Seagle jerseys in the bush is privilege enough

If only their captain was from a small country town out west like Wee Waa

Also good on Sticky for recognising that taking the game to Dubbo instead of Gosford would be to the benefit of the game. Still can't coach though

A game should be taken to the country each week, take the Monday night game to the country maybe - call it "Country Monday"

Might be too costly to do it every week because none of the country grounds will have all the required infrastructure for commentary boxes, corporate hospitality, big screens etc. But if it was done every second or third week I think it is a great idea

Could be solved by putting it into the next broadcast deal which is only a couple of years away. Do it 15 times a year so every team (except the Warriors due to timezone issues) has to take one home game to a country town on a Monday night. Warriors can instead take a Saturday or Sunday match elsewhere

A bit different there. The Raiders didn't tell Perth that if they raised a certain amount of money they would take the game there, and then pull out when they were 10K short.

I don't see what was unreasonable about the Raiders asking for a rare Channel 9 slot (especially considering how we finished the 2012 Season). If anything the NRL and Channel 9 dropped the ball on that one.
