I think that Scott Dureau is by far the most consistent player.

Sure he is consistently rubbish but he is consistent

For the most part of the last four years Farah has played in a pack that comes second in most games (this year being the exception) and has no no7. Now to display your talents in these circumstances is a very tall order. Also when your coach has you playing a no7 role every third set dosnt make it easy either.

If the Nsw selectors could get this crazy notion out of their heads that you need to pick a team of brutes to smash QLD and pick a team based on skill with Farah captain they might have a bit more luck in future.

For me, I rate Smith and Ennis but would not swap farah for either of them

Farah and smith are different players, really. Smith is excellent with the forward pack he has because he keeps the roll on going so well, keeps the side going forward, whilst also having a deft passing game and an excellent kicking game out of dummy half. Farah is more creative, however, more likely to pull some genius out of the hat, and doesnt need forwards to be as dominant. His one weaknes is probably his delivery from dummy half, just isnt quite as good as Smith's.

Both excellent players. Be interesting to see how Farah goes if he gets another shot at origin

Also up until last year, Farah played behind a regularly beaten pack, and off slow play the balls. Yet despite this he was still able to create play and lead a team around the park as chief playmaker.

Any mug can scoot quickly out of dummy half of a quick play the ball. What can the same player do off a slow play the ball, and with limited room to work?

I like how all these people no longer rate Smith because of the Storm salary cap fiasco, as if he and his teamates were genetically engineered in a lab or something.

Ennis is a very poor man's Cameron Smith.

Smith is still the best 9 in the game but Farah isn't far off. Nathan Friend is superior to Ennis.

The original post was "is their a more consistent player" not who was the better player.

Ennis has the odd blinder mixed with the odd shocker and a few in between,Smith has been consistent without setting the world on fire and Farah has been consistently good with the odd blinder and very few below par games.

So on the above score I think Farah wins, but as I said before they are all good and have different skills

Robbie Farah is a dumb dumb footballer,he always has to go for the hero play in everything he does to try to make himself look good instead of doing the smart thing.

Like that God awful kick against the Titans last friday night in open space that went dead, either look for support or take the tackle you dummy.

Talking from an Eels point of view:

I would prefer Robbie Farah at our club as he is very dominant and can take control of a match like a half back should... we dont have a half or hooker with that ability.

However Smith is the incumbent and much like his mate Greg Inlis he excels when in the maroon and green and gold.

The 2 best hookers in the game with Isaac Luke coming in 3rd...
