I agree dude.
Pretty much the IRLF have said:
"uh-oh, it was a (debatably highly dangerous, depending on some very tiny details of each individual scenario) tackle which the NRL have (very erratically and inconsistently) clamped down on, and now the Australians are blowing up big time over it... but there's nothing in our rules to stop that nasty Isaac Luke from doing it again... I know, we'll threaten contrary conduct."
So if Cameron Smith goes out and does the exact same tackle (while displaying an aggressive face as apparently that is what makes the conduct contrary) versus England, will he get charged with contrary conduct? Or is the precedent now that he will be allowed to do it twice, then be warned, then charged if he does it again?
Does every player get 2 free shots at the knees?
Is it illegal if it's aimed from the front, or only from the back or side?
What if you hit the players buttocks first...?
Is it only illegal if you use the shoulder, not the arms?
If you flail your arms near the legs, does that mean you can shoulder charge them?
What level of force is required to deem it dangerous?
TBH, it's a friggin quagmire. They should just forget the whole thing.
