Who’s “sage”?The 18th spot they should put out to tender. Let anyone who wants to bid bid and choose the best option be it Perth, NZ, PNG or Adelaide (or Singapore lol). Any of those options are strategically important long term (maybe not Singapore) so lets see who can put together a strong bid that has best chance of long term success. Id say Perth and NZ2 are in the box seat with Perth ahead if Sage really can put $30mill on the table for a new club.
Tony Sage. I think he owns the Perth Glory. I could be wrong, but I think he and Benny Elias had plans to launch a bid for a a Perth NRL team.

Singapore is apparently unsuitable as an expansion city because a couple of Super Rugby games drew just over 4k fans, but it was okay for Penrith to regularly pull low turnouts of 5k to 7k over a few seasons in the 1990s...
