Geeze, you guys seem very bitter about a player who decided to move on. I can understand being a little unhappy, but death riding the guy?

Players come and go, clubs sack players so players have the right to also move on.

Birdy helped you guys win a comp, I think that counts for some measure of love.

It's not bitter - it's business. If he was signed with us long term, if have been saying don't rush him back, rest him, or get the op done early. But as he was leaving at year end, my view was screw the long term ramifications - get him strapped up and out there if he can do a job (which given his form in 2017, it could be argued he couldn't) - the long term problems it could cause are not our concern.

Now as I alluded to in my last post, I said with tongue in cheek really - though there is an element of truth to it (but certainly wouldn't have wanted to cause permanent long term damage).

I will always have a bit of love for Birdy after the 2016 GF. Epic performance to play on with a broken arm. Would Dugan do that? Nup.
