I wonder if it is a common situation in the US, for pro athletes new to "the game" to be preyed on by cash hunters looking to get intoxicated, sleep with said green athlete, then claim rape via civil suit looking for easy money from settlement?

I'm certainly not saying this is happening in this particular case. But does anybody know if this is a thing pro athletes need to be aware of in the US?

The main thing about her story that sounds maybe a little dubious (apart from the 21 year old, bar tending, clubbing, virgin) is that she had the presence of mind to steal his undies but forgot to go to the doctors for 4 months even though her vagina was sore all that time.
