He's done really well - better than I initially expected - and good on him.

I don't think it's a waste, because by his own words Hayne was no longer engaged by rugby league, and if we're honest he would basically clock off for 40mins during a lot of matches anyway (before showing his obvious talents). He's doing something new where he has a learning curve ahead of him, and that's not a waste on his terms. He could've been a lot in league etc etc, but let's face it, we were never going to push for the grand final again with Hayne's marquee fullback salary somewhat constraining our purchases in the key playmaker positions.

San Francisco teams have made some of the more questionable long-term deals of recent. A while back the SF Giants signed a pitcher called Barry Zito to a 7-year $130m deal. He then posted losing records as a starting pitcher for his first 3 seasons.

Kap will get better.

The whole team will, lots of rookies and 2nd 3rd year players.

Jarryd is part of a rebuilding year, not a bad place for a rookie.

Stupid decision unless they pull a Denver and sign up one of the big ones for the biggest $$$ ever spent.

I'm sure that Kap has the ability to overcome this, however he will need to accelerate his decisions and receive more protection from his blockers from being sacked.

I know f**k all about NFL but from what I can see from the gun QBs, they get rid of the ball quickly and they benefit from TIME that the fatty boombahs in front of them provide.

No point in cutting Kap unless there is a better replacement.
Right now the Niners' second string QB is Blaine Gabbert, a bloke with just as many problems as Kap does. Thing is, we know Kap can play better. We've seen it. He's gotten his team to a Super Bowl and an NFC Championship game. It's so obvious that he is just way down on confidence right now...and with the way his o-line is playing I don't blame him.

I've seen Kap make throws that boggle the mind. He has fit the ball through gaps you wouldn't believe. But at the moment he doesn't feel confident making those throws. He's got the yips. The question is, can he come out of it.

Kap has no offensive line. Of course he has the yips - he feels like he is about to get hit every play.

This !
Sacking Kap without firing the entire O Line would be like an NRL team continually replacing their Coach when it?s the players that are the problem.
Oh ..wait

Although he has worked on it, his 'mechanics' are not great, so the the traditional drop back and quick release are not so effective for him. And if the OL is below par, trying to protect a bloke who is a bit unpredictable gets even harder.

I don't mind the Kap, and the 9ers problems range across many positions, but they really need to work out in what style of game he can be effective....soon.

Good luck to Hayne and his dreams and all that but he seriously screwed us last year leaving so late. I do not think he ever put Parramatta first. Very self centred type.

Pft - at least they made a Super Bowl recently.

Raiders fans have been waiting for something to happen for a decade.

Add JaMarcus Russell and Al Davis...

I feel you Eele

But on the bright side i bought Madden 16 a week ago and have the raiders at 4-0 with Carr, Hayne(traded him in), Crabtree and Cooper killing it.
I may or may not be playing rookie level though

I bought it too - it's great.

But three games in, I'm 2-1 - I beat Buffalo easily in week one, I managed a slim win over Jacksonville in game two, and then got raped by Arizona 30-nil in game 3.

I can't defend as well as I used to in previous Maddens.
