I used to worry with other coaches but not with Brad Arthur. Hayne will never leave whilst he is coach. Maybe one day to another sport but he will never play against us.

So is the Brett Kenny hill getting changed to jarryds hill?

The sad thing is it's taken us winning a few games for people to realise how good he is. The guy has been basically this good for years, it's just scoring and setting up 2 tries a game doesn't matter when you end up losing by 30.

Finally getting the praise he deserves. Couldn't be happier for him.

Yes jake he is, no doubt about it, people do not realise how lucky we are to have him

The moment I realised that jarryd was going to be the greatest eel ever was whilst watching us romp brisbane 68-22 in 2007, the skills he showed that day were so sublime, I had never see amazing talent. He is the randy moss of rugby league, if people do not know who randy moss is go on youtube - freak

FREAK!! Is he the greatest Eel ever??

IMO - yes. Hands down.

Winning a comp is great and all, but this isn't chess - it's a team sport, and if your teammates don't pull their weight, you could have Andrew Johns, Darren Lockyer, Adrian Morley, Shane Webcke, Steve Renouf and Danny Buderus in your side and still win nothing.

One thing is for sure, though - if there is any justice in this universe, he will win at least one title before retiring.

I was livid when the Raiders let Moss go.

That game where he scored 4 tries against the Knights in the Joey John's record match. That's when I knew he was something special. Unbelievable.

That game against the Tigers in scoring that try and later that run he had in us making the semis in 2009 was when I knew he was the greatest.

I said it then and I say it now, I would not swap him for any player in the game.

He should be allowed to wear a f**king cape on the field.

Moss at the Vikings and New England - he was on another level to anyone else athletically

There were two shining lights at Oakland for a long time - Nmamdi Asomugha and Randy Moss. And predictably, we lef th both leave.

But enough about that - this thread is to celebrate The Special One.

I've said to people for a long time now that Jarryd Hayne is the best all round player I have ever seen.

The consensus seems to be it is a very controversial statement, but I don't see why not - a Premiership is not a true measure of a quality player. Sean Rudder and that Ian Lacey have Premierships...
