I'm happy that we're not again going overboard with contracts and bulking on Hayne's 2 year deal. This club is in a situation where needs to look past Hayne.

Gurr should be looking 3 - 5 years down the track in which Hayne wont be a part of and building towards sustained success. We're currently in trouble because of unwarranted long contracts.

I'll support Gurr on this.

Hail Bernie. Hayne is not the priority. 1 year is enough.
Doesn’t BA do all the contracts?

Not any more :grinning: Thank FK
Oh. So Bernie does them now? Seems odd that he and previous CEOs weren’t doing them previously. One would almost think that BA was never completely in charge of the salary cap. But then how would everything be his fault?

Most NRL head coaches have a major say in who they want as part of the roster. They are never completely in charge but must take responsibility on what they perceive the future of the club will look like.

When any coach initially joins a club and fails, fans acknowledge that he hadn't had time to build his roster.
Now, we're going into the 6th season and it's looking highly likely that again we won’t be seriously competing for a competition.

I feel Bernie has put his foot down and has taken full responsibility for what happens next

So we blame Bernie now?

I hope Hayne stays at Parra. It might not be the best thing, but he's been there for so long, they should stick together. Like those old loveless marriages that stay together for no reason other than because. It would be sad to see a divorce now.
