Or unenforcable face saving by the Hayne camp, to avoid the marketing of his chase for the dream to be tainted by a fan backlash....?

If this Roosters innuendo is true, you can see it start... Avenger has already said it would be worse than Lyon or Sonny Bill Williams. I think I might have suggested the similarities way back when Hayne first weaseled his way out of his contract.

He has said time and time again he would only play for another club if Parra didn't want him (or he would have to if we couldn't sign him). If he were to go to another club without us having a crack i would lose all my respect for Jarryd.

He has said a lot of things.... It is Rothfield, who can put three and four together and make it equal eleven after all. I am not surprised at all by the innuendo though....

If what Jodeci says is correct, we weren't in a position to pay him his full wages for 2014, let alone 2015.

If he went elsewhere we'd have no one to blame but ourselves. In fact he could have got out of his then contract and played with the roosters this year if he hadn't been paid his full whack. We'd have been in breach of contract.

But I wouldn't read that much into the roosters thing.

He's having a pretty f**king red hot go at the nfl. I hardly think he's there as some sort of ruse.

I think if the club is not looking to recruit other players incase The Plane may return, then they are simply being dumb.

He's shown plenty of interest in the NSW State of Origin team whilst over in the USA, but none for Parra...

Irrespective if he ever makes it in the NFL I'd say he's played his last game for Parrra.

We need to move on, and fast.

Yes, and you'd know what Jarryd is going to do.

Lol at you not knowing the difference between a claim of fact and a future prediction.

If his NFL contract ends early, he'll head to Japanese Union for a late career financial boost.

Sounds like a claim of fact to me. No intention in that sentence about it being a prediction. But, if you want to play games Phantom, knock yourself out.

Bigfella, think about it for a minute, if any player in the NRL asked for a release with 1 yr to go, there is no way in the world that club would say "Player X, you are free to leave, would u like some kind of income for the season u r not with us"

It's fact, we owed him money. We couldn't attract promised 3rd party money to the hottest player in the game. That's a concern.

Daniel Anderson stated in the Members Council meeting last Wednesday that finding 3rd party ppl is very hard.

Dave Smith in his release about our cap drama said Jarryd is part of our 2015 cap.

Would have helped with having Bill Moss on board, oh well..........

Honestly how hard should it be to find a 3rd party deal for an exciting player like Semi???? He is already a cult figure and one of the most exciting players in the game.

The club would have to redo his current deal to allow Semi to attract any 3rd party.

Semi's current deal is all cap money. It's a guaranteed income hence why his manager signed it for 4 years.

No doubt Bill Moss would of taken care of all that and he had some potential corporates willing to throw some money into it.

"He'll" = "he will" = prediction of the future. You only have to look at the preceding sentence (otherwise know as the context), which contained the phrase "I don't think he'll play rugby league again"

Can't get much closer to a prediction than that... though you've proved over the years that you find simple concepts quite difficult Suity. Would you have got it right if my post had spelled out the word p-r-e-d-i-c-t-i-o-n in one of the sentences?

As usual, I think you're the only one playing games here Suitman.
