Let's say it is true. Gasnier left NRL to get that cash in another code then came back to Dragons. Who is to say Hayne isn't doing the same thing?

There's no certainty bc he hasn't made the final cut. His safer bet was to go to French or jap rugby

Seriously? Take the biggest gamble in sport to maybe earn millions. The odds are massively against him. Gasnier's was guaranteed.

The term 'exhibition' was used by the The Plane.

The way the team approached the game appeared like they were playing an 'exhibition' match.

The point I was trying to make was that term 'exhibition' was the constant. It had nothing to do with the person using the term.

Opposing to this I heard an interview with Norman pre-game and he said that the Tigers will be a hard game because of all their young players you don't know what they're going to throw at you.

You think it was Hayne's fault that we played like we did?

Firstly, you obviously don't understand what I am trying to say with the use of the word 'exhibition' so I'm not going to clarify that for you any further, but the way we played had nothing to do with The Plane.

Secondly, so if Norman said what you have said above then why did the team approach the match with such a poor attitude the way they did (an attitude issue that was confirmed by the coach of the team at both half time and re-iterated after the match)?

Yes but isn't Hayne getting a guaranteed rookie salary? Or something like that which in all likelihood would cover what his third party was? (200k is what people are saying) I know it's a stretch but just a thought

So how does that also cover the million or so dollars he would have been earning as his Eels salary?
There is one thing for certain in all if this - Hayne has not done this because of money.
There could be many reasons for him to have walked out on the Eels and tried his hand at American Football, but money is not one of them.

Agreed. That's why I laugh at suggestions we owe him 200k and he's pissed. Why then would he sacrifice 1 mill for 100k. In his interview with beau Ryan he stated he walked away from a 6 million dollar deal from the eels.

No I don't understand, because it's ridiculous logic.

I don't know why they played like they did. Probably because of Hayne jokingly saying that the game would be an exhibition.

What's ridiculous logic?

That you even brought up the quote in the first place. It was like you were placing the blame on Hayne for how the team played. Could have easily just said that the team were bad and didn't stick to what worked but you instead had to use a joke text message to make a point when everyone would have agreed with you if you hadn't brought up the text.

EXCLUSIVE: SUPERSTAR footballer Jarryd Hayne has been condemned by community leaders for telling his 120,000 Twitter followers that Jews killed Jesus.

Hayne, who was one of the best rugby league players in the country before he decided to try and make it in the NFL in America with the San Francisco 49ers, posted last week that “Jesus wanted to help people but was killed by his own people”.

After much discussion on the post, he then said “The Jews were the people who took him to the Romans and forced them to give the order because they couldn’t”.

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies chief executive officer Vic Alhadeff said the accusation “that the Jews killed Jesus is a falsehood that was renounced by the Vatican 50 years ago”.

“It’s unfortunate that the misconception still exists today and even more disappointing when it is promoted by a high-profile figure like Jarryd Hayne.”

Chairman of the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission Dvir Abramovich said he was deeply saddened and concerned that such a high-profile figure would spread a discredited and noxious myth.

“Mr Hayne’s damaging, painful and irresponsible statement is not just historically wrong, but resuscitates the dangerous age-old anti-Semitic falsehood that the Jews are guilty of killing Jesus,” Abramovich told The AJN.

“For thousands of years Jews were held in contempt and were persecuted and murdered because they were labelled as Christ-killers.

“It’s a pity that Mr Hayne is so ill-informed that he doesn’t know that in 1965 the Vatican rejected this charge and that Pope Benedict XVI in his book Jesus of Nazareth concludes that there is no basis to the notion that Jews are collectively responsible for the death of Jesus.”

Abramovich urged Hayne to promptly apologise, withdraw the hurtful and absurd tweet and make it clear to his fans that his divisive statement was not true.

“Rather than fuelling anti-Semitism, we need sportspeople to be powerful voices in countering racism and Jewish-hatred, especially when attacks against Jews worldwide are on the increase.”

The AJN contacted Hayne’s management on Wednesday but were told he was unavailable for comment at such short notice.
