It's very sad that in a fictional book someone died, does it matter who did it? It's not real!
It's like being offended that you say that it was the Jedi's fault that Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader.
Kind of, the only difference being that the Jewish people are actually a thing, but it doesn't make the situation any less fictional.
Also, why does having the vatican say something isn't true make it real? The Pope isn't the boss of me, and last I heard, he leads the Catholic church only, not religion in general, or even christianity for that matter...
