Now for my thoughts. We'll for starters his chances of getting a contract are very slim, hate to say but you just have to watch college games to see some of the freaks on show, and 98% of these players do not even make the NFL, and they have played the game all there life's.

Secondary I am ok with move, dare say he will be back soon. I think jarryd chance if making a roster is to become a punter, and whilst doing that learning the intricacies of the game - nfl is the most complex game in the world and it isn't even close, grasping plays and reading opposition plays is someting that take some a lifetime to learn.

Thirdly, jarryd moves we'll without pads, but I worry that jarryd doesn't have the burst speed of the mark over the more to be successful. Some if linesman whilst 150kg are so quick of the mark and nimble it is scary.

Poupou is the only merkin that thinks he should be going.

I agree, I think jarryd needs to test himself against the best, however I really think he should learn the game through college first, and should've done this 2 years ago.

The amount of rejects over there who have astonishing speed and strength is amazing, pro sprinters etc get cut everyday

I actually think jarryd if he makes a side would be one if Australians greatest ever sporting moments, not as a punter but player, and I feel he coukd become an ambassador for reject nfl players to the nrl

This is why people are giving up hope, if we aren't world beaters with him, what are we without him? At this point all our attacking options will be coming from Sandow and Norman.

But it's not a choice of the existing 24 players + JH v's the existing 24 players. It's not as if we just rub him off the roster and don't replace him.

We get a great big chunk of salary cap back (and we don't lose the LTP allowance...we've got Mannah). The PITA is that we may not be able to use that cap space fully in 2015. But, with some luck, being the only club around with a chunk of cap space might make available some opportunities that would otherwise not be there.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to go, but the world will go on.

Pou never said that.He basically is saying do you want a title or watch an amazing player?
Hayne is best too watch. But putting 20% of your money into hayne when you could get a very good fullback for 500k means you can spend an extra 700 k elsewhere.
Imagine having 7 forwards and putting 100k towards each the improvement in each forward you would get. Matches are won upfront.
So instead of a 200k forward you can spend 300k.Instead of a 150k forward you have a 250k one. You would have such a better pack. Its not about spending the 700k one the one player its about improving up too 7 spots

Parra will he fine out if this, money up our sleeve and we can go out for a couple of great players with Haynes money

The timing sucks hard, but does this mean we are essentially 800k under the cap next season?
He must have been given some sort of encouragement when he was over there recently, otherwise hes f**king mad.

I'd say there are three or four players in the comp who could have the same effect on our side that Hayne could have, and our chances of getting any of them are extremely low. I just don't see anything overly promising coming out of our next couple of seasons if he isn't here. We potentially have the pack to set us up, but without Hayne we are relying on Norman and Sandow next year, and whoever is in our #7 for 2016.

I think Reggie may have been blowing a little smoke up Haynes arse tbh, however bush woukdnt even probably be rated in the top 20 running backs in the nfl, yet is perceived here as an Adrian Peterson?

I don't see it as a risk...So he loses 800k....He can try for a year and if doesn't make it can go too French rugby.3-4 mill a year for 5 years.Nice. Ends up making an extra 10 million in his career

Why the f**k would he go to French rugby? Money isn't obviously the problem, he wants to test himself in the biggest sporting market, not about the money

Not by a long stretch. This guy has carried Parramatta on his back for years and never had the pleasure of winning a premiership. He has been f**ked around by NSW and Australian selectors. He has had to endure childish comments about his attitude and his ego by so-called Parramatta fans. He has stuck with this club through thick and thin. He is probably the best player this club has ever had and ever will have. I have had the pleasure to see Ken Thornett, Brett Kenny, Michael Cronin, Ray price and Jarryd Hayne all play for my club. I feel honoured.

And just remember how everyone wanted him gone virtually and that Burt was a better fullback.

If I were Hayne I would've f**ked if years ago, he is without doubt the greatest parra player of all time
