The above Article said:
“I know they have one excuse in Mitchell Moses has not been there, but is Mitchell Moses going to clean up their defence?” Rothfield asked.

“Is he going to make them hungrier? Is he going to bring in more commitment to the way they go about their job over 80 minutes? I’m not quite so sure.”

No he won't, thanks for that mate, but will he mean we aren't consistently losing the yardage battle? Meaning we have to tackle less and have less pressure on us. To quote Phil "I'm not quite sure"

There elite athletes, they’ve been playing this game since 5 years of age, we need to stop making excuses, instead demanding accountability, even at this early stage
have to agree with this - ball control and one on one defence are not things that are exclusive to first grade.

The ability to catch, pass and tackle starts a helluva lot earlier than that!

If we are not going after Paul Bunn from the storm. We are wasting our time as a serious footy club.

Apparently he is off-contract and they haven't come to terms yet.

Ryles is hopefully telling the front office to throw the sink at Bunn and get him across the line.

We have all the resources apparently our CEO & Chairman said so last year when they sacked Arthur.
They should've told Bennett and Bellamy.

Therein lies ryles problem stagger he has incompetent fools who he can go to for help and support , O'Neill and tigers wouldn't get a job in league anywhere else , as much as I can't stand Gus Gould he is exactly what we need
Gould doesn't give a shit about Parra. He loves the three clubs he coached at. That's all. And he does it for love not money, because he had all the money he could ever need.

He'd be the first bloke I'd approach, it would take something special to entice him back to Australia but you'd have to give it a red hot crack, I'd also try and get the REAL Frank Ponnisi.

problem is, our board are f**king toothless.
Then so is every other board. Ponissi has lived in Melbourne since at least 2007. Why would he want to leave?

"My family and I are heavily invested emotionally in both the club and the city of Melbourne and we are looking forward to the next four years."

“I thoroughly enjoy and am highly motivated by the people that I work with, and I very much want to be part of continued success with the club,” Ponissi said.

“I am also exceptionally passionate and very excited about driving our Pathways Program that we commenced just over 12 months ago.”

Ponissi has agreed to a five year extension keeping him at Storm until the end of the 2029 season.

well, we don't have a back rower of NRL standard at this club at all...period!

that's where I'd start first.

in 50 years I've never known a squad to have no second rowers at all, we even had blokes like Andrew Langford in the early 90's and he was at best an average first grader
In 2022 we made the grand final with no second rowers!

Surely if we have another bad year which it is shaping up MON and his team are sent packing??? They are the only ones left from the old set up?? Time for someone at the club to put on their big boy pants and IMO make a real easy decision.
Sacking merkins will solve everything hey? We can replace them with the Jason Ryles of GMs Football and the Jason Ryles of CEOs!

Who wanted him sacked? There is warranted criticism but even me at my worst wouldn’t want him sacked anytime soon. If however we get the spoon this year then a November signing frenzy will be the only thing that saves his arse. A bit like when Benji was saved when he signed all the players that are performing for them this season but were acquired 18 months ago.
We have a f**kload to spend for 2027 and we could know about them all before Christmas this year. So even though they won't be at the club in '26, they will still be 'on their way'. Just like how all the merkins who were on their way out dampened our 2022 season.
