After Titans, Dragons and the bye

We got a tough gig till the end of the year, real tough

Really need to win one or preferably both games from the next two, otherwise spoon is looking likely

In Ciraldo’s first year I think it’s fair to say that they were a fair bit worse than we have been and had much higher expectation on them.

I just want to see us play with the same level of commitment and consistency that we have shown over the last 5-6 weeks for the remainder of the season. If we do that then that should be enough to avoid the spoon.

Next year we really should be pushing for the 8, but it will depend on what our final squad looks like before I judge Ryles too harshly.

Ciraldo's first year was also Gus's second so he had a head start on recruitment ect.

We’re now favourites for the wooden spoon. Ryles is clearly safe this year, but let’s be honest—there have been factors like our so-called elite recruitment team and the injury toll. So what’s the pass mark for next season? Because if it’s another spoon or bottom three finish, he could be gone. No matter how unfair or radical it sounds. Two spoons in a row, then he actually deserves it.

This whole situation is starting to reek of Stephen Kearney deja vu—especially if we get belted at home by the Titans on Sunday, which I’m fully expecting.
Were you expecting a top 8 finish with such a new young squad? Your obviously not much of a Parra supporter if you have such a short

For heavens sake, stop bagging and start supporting there is no Pass Mark, if they run last or 2nd they still have no premiership ring to wear.
I admire the guts Jason Ryles has shown in cleaning out (talented) old farts, replacing with (talented) youths, and it continues this weekend with Dylan Brown's replacement... will they win? Who knows or really cares, will they get valuable game experience? Hell Yes.
Cameron Cilraldo rebuilt Dogs and they are now winning well and mounting a top4 challenge... can you cast your mind back two seasons ago when they were winning f@#k all? Why not just give Ryles some time, besides, who else is there to chose from to replace him? And what guarantee would there be that they would do better? Answer None and None... so your bagging Ryles is both premature and ultimately futile.

We weren’t favourites until Moses got injured again. I still don’t believe we’ll finish with the spoon unless Moses doesn’t return at all or we lose one of few forwards we have to injury.
I’ve seen plenty of spirit and potential in what Ryles is trying to do - but we’ve had our first choice team on the park for 1-2 games all year. Ryles is safe as houses.

Yep i agree

We have had 3 shocking performances for the year
Rd 1 v Melbourne
Rd 2 v Tigers
Rd 6 v Canberra

The Dogs game was bad in terms of errors but it took them a long time to put us away with a shitload of ball.

The other 5 losses well we were competitive in for most of it

Rd3 v Bulldogs - lacked class & direction while dominating the contest
Rd4 v Manly - Played average but still defended okay wasn't great but wasn't disgraceful
Rd9 v Sharks - Competed hard copped a few 50/50 calls against us which didnt help
Rd10 v Dolphins - Butchered that game should have won - I think Moses deserves some heat for that one we were in front and he should have got us
Rd14 v Penrith - Lacked the finishing touch but still went toe to toe with the 4-time defending premiers who probably played one of there better games defensively for the season.

We built the 2021-22 side in a similar way, blooding a bunch of youngsters in the preceding years.

Agreed, there was nobody better than Ryles.

Then lets hope we don't go and f**k it up this time, after we've managed to re-build it.
Only the Storm never see their premiership window close, and even then their win rate drops while they ‘rebuild’. For the rest of us, some scapegoat always seems to ‘f**k it up’ after a period of success. It’s how the salary cap is supposed to work.
