I think he’s a good matchup for Kahu. I’d like to see him there, knowing that Dugan and Aitken swapped a bit late. Lomax can do the same.

Aitken over Pereira any day of the week. Choosing Pereira is the weak choice. Picking an effort player who isn’t up to the standard. This is more emblematic of McGregor.

Undoubtedly in years past - pre Mary era - the man would not even be considered for the game , most certainly not a semifinal . Only fit players will give the team a chance against their rivals , even if it means playing players out of position .

If he is wearing a bluudy moon boot then the injury must be serious, as someone has already said bring Host into his position, at least this bloke is not afraid to tackle and I fear that there shall be a need for it come Sunday afternoon.

JDB.
Has high ankle sprain and sould not play.
But we will see

Just saw nine news and i reckon it could be precautionary. The players were playing it down a bit and i saw a player the other week was in a moon boot during the week but played still. Just cant remember who it was.
He shouldnt be risked if not 100% but Mary logic says play them at all cost.

Mann to centres .. good defender and we will need it out wide... Aitken to lock perhaps if not bring Host in

Don’t think so.

Friz should play lock and to be honest should be there even if JDB is fit. Friz is a natural middle player and offers a far superior power game.. JDB might be worth a try on the edge..

The problem is that Mary will allow JDB to decide and as he’s already said many times........ he’ll do whatever he has to do to play. ( ....and play at 60% fit and let the team down like he’s done the past 8 weeks)

SMH reporting that he is to play with a pain killing needle. Shades of 1976 and Langlands? Madness in my opinion to even think about it for a sudden death semi final.
It's very common for players to play after having a pain killing needle. As for moon boots, they are quite common too - as others have noted, often just a precautionary measure. People, (including some journalists) overreact when they don't really understand why they are worn.

Was just coming to say this. I guarantee every other team in the finals will have at least one and probably a handful of players getting needled. I know for a fact Ryan matterson is for his hands and kikau is getting needled too. TPJ has been playing with dodgy hamstrings and groin and getting needled for weeks. Those are just the ones I’ve heard / read confirmed. RTS not training all week, only running on the antigrav treadmill and will have his ankle heavily strapped. He too went down in his match and played on with strapping. Without knowing the details of the injury there’s just no way to say whether jack should play or not. The fact he played on is a good sign that it’s not structural and will be a swelling and pain management issue.

Jackk has apparently arrived at training this morning in a moon boot and with crutches
He's in huge doubt....aggghh!
Tinfoil stuff and playing with StBenny's head.
The moon boot and crutches were borrowed from the Calvery hospital rehab ward, walking distance to the ground.
Mary the cluey cunning stunt that he is whispered to JDB to jog up to Rocky Point Rd and whack a moon boot on with some crutches to match before the cameras arrived.

Did anyone see his training bag slung over his shoulder whilst he hobbled around in the parking lot for the cameras?

McDopey is such a genious at deception, pity it's only just the media, he's brainwashed, the players.:sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:and the incompetent board:sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

I have never done drugs but I want to try what you've been taking .... mainly for heartache and pain relief

Yeah they do, but we have all seen the results of JDB playing with needles for his hip injury for the last two months, they haven’t been great.

They use a moon boot because it stop any further damage and hild everthing in place.
Also speeds up and recovery.
You are right can be just precautionary.
I think he will play.
But sould he that is anther question.
With nighty and widdop as well.
Changes may happen before kickoff

Six million dollar man our Jack, why risk him.

Play injured and lose that's the year. If he is rested, it gives a chance of him playing next week.

Host or Sele can fill the roll and ask them to tackle their arse's off.

Me too mate.
It’s certainly fair to doubt Mary’s decision making capacity. Mostly just saying that it’s real not unusual for players to get needled. And that without knowing more it’s fair to assume there’s plenty of other teams players carrying similar style injuries into the finals.

I’d be shocked if Nighty is cleared. Very hard to imagine his arm would’ve healed enough.
