I am so proud of our club for having the balls to make these sorts of calls with Carney and now Dugan.

Make fun of us all you want for having this sort of culture in the first place but you can't criticize the board for making these tough calls. If only every team in the NRL were to make a stand and be against signing him for his behaviour, but I know that won't happen.

I dont reckon the NRL can deregister him for missing some training sessions and getting on the piss. Unfortunate for Raiders but f they sack him he will get picked up by another team.

Agree,the raiders are making all the right moves publically at least,they will be better off with Robinson at the back,both in the amount of games he will play and plenty of dollars left over in the cap.

Honestly how unlucky are the Titans? Had an 'easy' draw (as easy as you can get in the NRL) and they face the 2 teams with the most emotion and desire to prove, back to back and to open the season.

Raiders sack Dugan

he Canberra Raiders have sacked representative fullback Josh Dugan. The club CEO Don Furner made the announcement on Thursday afternoon, but centre Blake Ferguson has been given a lifeline. Dugan's contract has been terminated immediately while Ferguson has been given a $10,000 fine. Furner said it was unlikely the Raiders would pay out the rest of the contract money that was due to Dugan in 2013.
