As much as Beau Ryan is playing well at fullback, if Tuiaki comes back fit, Inu would be our new fullback imo.

1/Inu
2/Tuqiri
3/Lawrence
4/Ayshford
5/Tuiaki
6/Marshall
7/Moltzen

I am drooling

if my memory serves me correct Inu played fullback for NZ vs Aus before he made his first grade debut, or 1 game in or something, played well too.

I can't see how we can afford him though, as I stated in a previous post I had a chat with Eels CEO a while ago and he basically said he was asking too much, around low 300s which is too much.

He would look good in black and orange though.

Okay it was club rugby and the defense was average but saw a winger for manly yesterday who looked the goods. fijian, quick and massive, trampled a million players to score three trys. I would say he was about 10% bigger and 30% faster than Lotte. Just a though

Yeah me too, let's cut some more dead wood (Fitz, Cayless, Tupou) and make a play for Inu.

At worst as much as I love TNT, rugby league is a harsh world and I think he's gonna struggle to get back to his best.

Inu us kidding if he thinks he's worth over 300k but. I'd give him 250 tops.

lol?

He's just as good as all our current backs and can kick goals better than anyone else in our team.

Dont worry we were never in that market, we shop for quality journeymen, player who regularly feature in the 1 2 3 in the state cup games who can be relied upon to do the warm up drills for first grade under the watchful eye of sizzler Simmons than sit quietly on the bench for the next eighty minutes. The sad thing its true

Yeah a kid who plays cannot tackle to save himself, kicks goals in the 60% odd bracket for 2010 and has no significant training time with the NRl squad in that position.

Lets give it a burl

I'm not that fussed about Inu - would've been nice but geez he's hot and cold. Can do some wonderful things on the field but can go missing and has the odd brain explosion in him. I'm also not sure Sheens is the best coach for him, doesn't have a great track record recently with youngsters that seem to struggle for consistency.

Mateo, well he's really dropped off the radar a bit this year. Still a wonderful talent, and I definitely think he's an upgrade on Heighington at lock, but has also struggled for consistency over the last couple of years. Possibly just needed a change of scenery.

I'm happy with Ryan at the back - he's averaging more metres per game in his games from fullback than any other fullback in the comp I think. The problems we've had in our losses can't really be attributed to him. Would welcome an upgrade on our right centre and winger, but really it comes down to halfback. We get that sorted and we'll start putting the points on the board again.

halfback and bench are our problems. Our right side attacked and defended well with Moltzen there.

Our bench has been an utter abortion for weeks

Back to the orginal topic, I wouldn't take Lima back now. We should have kept him when we had him at a cheap price. Now I think he is on the decline and would take Either Tollman or Nielson from the storm over Lima every day of the week.

I like Ryan and think he's a decent fullback. Yes he makes plenty of metres but someone needs to tell him that a huge part of being a fullback is support play, something Mullaney is awesome at. I think it's time he had a run.

I agree on support play. It has sadly been an absent facet to our attack for a number of years now, since at least 2007. I also wonder if it's because we don't off-load the ball often - almost like we're coached not to?

It's the fullback. Gallant did plenty of supporting when he was in FG. Hodgo used to support and stopped towards the end - before going back to it at Hudds.

Moltzen is alright at it, but doesn't seem to be able to read the play. His bursts in the middle are most often set plays.

Gallant was such an awesome support player. Reminds of that excellent try we scored vs Canberra last year when you could hear Gallant scream "Payto!" at Payten from about 20m away. He was there in a flash and grabbed the offload perfectly before putting in a good little kick and scoring.
