I made my way to The Crest on Saturday afternoon and watched the Dogs v Knights clash.
The Knights defeated the Dogs in round one, but looking at the game on Saturday you could've quite easily have believed that the dogs were the side sitting second on the ladder. In a very powerfull and polished performance they eventually won 34-26. The score was flattering for the Knights, as the game was well and truly over a long way from home.I thought the 9 and 13 for the dogs were outstanding with the 3 and 14 also playing well.
In the Jim beam Cup match that followed, the Sydney Bulls were far too good for Asquith and ran out 40-18 victors.
Ex St.George youngster Nathan Wynn was outstanding, scoring the first 2 tries and booting 5 goals. How this bloke can't get a start in the Dogs premmies has got me f**ked,
He's scored three tries and kicked 10 goals in the last two weeks and can cover a number of positions. He may have to tighten up his defence a little bit but he's far to good for Jim Beam level.
