jersey sponsor

wanted to buy a saints jersey the other day but
there was no sponsor at the back of the jersey.has our sponsorship with
cellarbrations ended and why has the st.george bank sponsor above the number disappeared.Its just looks unusual without the sponsors and it makes it look like a "best and less" jersey. i hope it will change around the time nrl kicks off

if thats the case you would have thought it would have all been announced BEFORE the jerseys started to get manufactured... they do look really dumb with a plain white back...
i dont think too many people will buy this until the final product is available with the sponsors on the back...
it seems to me that if they have already started to produce jerseys without the sponsors, then i can only think they havent actually got any yet, and are still trying last minute negotiations to try and find some that are suitable..

The St George Bank deal was just renewed for four years. I wonder if we managed to swing a deal where they paid more for less or whether they just paid less and only got the front in return.

I don't mind the white back. Less is more IMO. Be beautiful if we could manage to have the coin to just sell the front and keep the back clean ala EPL.

Going off on a tangent, but players names and their squad numbers 1-25 for the season would be a great marketing tool IMO.

The plain back looks magnificent. Some other clubs uniforms are starting to look like tawdry, cheap Nascar-ish kits with ugly mismatched logos all over them.

I went in before Christmas to get one but same result as everyone else.

Got told same thing about new sponsor announced in New Year. Got told that Rebel requested the Jersey's be made (without sponsors) before Christmas so club got some in as well and were still selling quite a few.

I'll be waiting to our full sponsored jersey is available.

whether you like the look or not, a plain back means less sponsorship, which means less cash for the club.

Super League did squad numbers, but the fans hated it when their program started to look like a Keno draw.

If we get fkn player names on the back of the jersey I'll fkn hurl:x. Sure, put a name on the back if YOU want to, but leave the Red V as traditional as possible. I'd love to see us run out without a sponsor on the back, just a number.

My skin crawls at the thought of our jersey disintergrating into one of the many sh!theap designs that most clubs have adopted, that look anything but a footy jersey.

Are you seriously complaining that you didn't get to pay to advertise somebody else's business?

I understand we need jersey sponsors, that's just business, but if you are able to buy a clean jersey I would consider that a good thing.

Just my thoughts.

Id prefer having sponsor on the back
I do say this years jersey front looks cleaner with reebok not being over the red v itself
i had same thoughts it looked like a best n less jersey

I have a feeling there will be changes mid-year for added sponserships (like the Bulldogs did in 09 I believe) if not/in the meantime they should put names up top that would defintley make a few extra bucks for the club as much as I hate the Storm I did like it when players had their names on the back of the jumper.
