Information I can find shows that this was worn in a trial down in Tasmania,a only once during the season (with the NRL badge)against the cowboys for some reason...
Think in 99 they went to the yellow away jersey (added the bolts etc) and wore that a few times

Found this while looking up some old designs. Credit to the owner.

South Queensland Crushers original advertising prototype boards. These were used in 1996 by the Crushers marketing team who wanted to change the design of the jersey for the 1997 season. Consequently none of these designs were accepted by the board or the ARL.

This design was brought back in 2012 and worn for trial games. It had 'Celebrating 15 Years' embroidery and I believe was the only commemorative jersey worn that season. For some reason I have two in my collection.

I've just purchased perhaps our worst regular season jersey and it's on its way right now. Care to guess which one?

Yeah when it came back I giggled.
Ummm worse design?

Bingo. I'm running out of jerseys to add to the collection. I can really only think of two I'd like to get now - a yellow away jersey and an original Nike jersey from 1998.

geeze you can set your watch to this nonsense. Talk about a broken record.

That teal and yellow makes me want to vomit.
And as to the obsession with ditching the helmet and going on about mythology like some kind of world expert...just google image “titans logo”. Almost every single titans team in the world uses the same imagery...helmet and knives.

I would tidy up the titans logo...it’s too busy, and the font is a bit clip-art. Sharper lines, less detail. But I would not be changing club colours or the entire branding. The two shades of blue + yellow + white is a great combo for a beachside club, just needs better execution.

Nice. Good blend of current Titans imagery with the GC RL history. (perfect example of an effective soft reboot)

The badge would make a nice basis for the jumper design too

(I would say, ditch "Tweed" and change to another City Council area that could be targeted for fam engagement. "Gold Coast-Logan" seems obvious given the proximity. "Gold Coast-Ipswich" might work at a stretch)

Hell, if the Titans are desperate not to change their colours, maybe the way to get the unique look is to just focus on the gold

(not the nicest look, but definitely unique. The only jumper this might be mistaken for is the RU Wallabies, but f*ck them....)

I was reading that in 1983/84 the Newtown Jets re-designed their logo and jersey for a possible permanent merger/relocation as the Newtown-Campbelltown Jets.

Does anyone have pics of that?

I think these were for the 7s hence the maroon strip they used in 97 and it was on these boards

This was the 7's kit and for some reason was allowed by the ARL, despite the ARL not letting the club change their colours for the regular season.

The Crushers also made some concept kits for the 1998 season they never played.

In the last photo, why does the logo on the banner say Queensland Crushers instead of South Queensland Crushers?

My guess would be that it would be the only team from QLD in the ARL as the other QLD teams were in the super league.
