never seen a fishing shirt before?fishing shirt
yep agreed.
someone in here mentioned street wear for NRL a while ago, got unsurprisingly knocked down by a few... but I’m all for it.
Most of the gear has sponsors slapped all over it, no doubt part of the deals they agree with sponsors. But they can look like something from nascar.. and not that cool.
An example..
I Bought a retro dragons hoodie from Mick Simmons a while ago. Red, simple “Dragons” text of the front, with the St George Emblem on the back.
Moved to Adelaide last year and my partners’ 15 y/o daughter basically claimed it, wanted me to buy her one but they aren’t around anymore so I gave it to her. Wears it everywhere and her friends want one too. I’ve also got a dragons jacket that has sponsors but she doesn’t like that one.
She loves it because it’s simple, unique, loves the logo design and not “afl” which is everywhere. She doesn’t follow the sport but wants me to buy her anything else in a dragons range like that. And her friends have put in their requests too.
Souths usually do the best line of wearable merch without looking like a billboard.
Absolutely no argument there. They have been the leader in championing a brand above all clubs in the NRL, particularly Sydney clubs.
There’s no reason why other clubs can’t do the same as what the Rabbits have done.

Was looking at the 2020 jersey and decided its probably a step in the wrong direction as far as our jerseys have gone,
Im surprised Melbourne have never used a simple jersey like this seeing as its the jersey worn by the mascot in the logo, it's also very Victorian in that its just a big V, and recognisably a Storm jersey with the navy and purple

Those sponsor logos used are the exact ones used on the 2020 storm home jersey, definately looks a lot better when sponsors are integrated well!Great job. In an era of jerseys becoming mobile billboards, you’ve come up with a very clean design. A single use of colour (apart from orange highlights) for all sponsors certainly helps and unfortunately unlikely in the real world for most clubs. The NRL won’t do anything now in these troubled times of course but in the future, I’d like to see a design criteria in place that clubs need to follow to keep the kits simple and classy. Oh and agree with JF about key lines on numbers.
Old VRL club from St Kilda that as far as I can find out has been defunct since 2003 despite being premiers in 01 and 02
anyone know and info about this club?

If the club came out with something like that, here’s exactly how it would go down - ‘where’s the yellow?’, ‘where’s the lightning bolts?’, ‘not enough purple’, etc. I like what you’ve come up with but it makes me think more of the Thunderbolts than Storm. And couldn't help myself so I photoshopped up a mock up from the BLK designer

The club did a favourite jersey poll during the week - probably just to get some content up since there are no games. The original 1998 jersey and the 2018 remake were the overwhelming favourites. It’s what the people want. If they brought that design back and kept it permanently they could do whatever they like with the away and do as many one-off event jerseys as they want - I don’t care.
I’m not hugely in the yellow camp but it’s important as an accent colour. Our 2018 off-field gear was the best it’s looked in years.
