I’m not in the yellow camp either but your use of it as a key line on the V is great. Perhaps just a key line on the number would suffice.

I liked the 2018 remake of the 98 jersey and wish we had stuck with that instead of going back to the 2017-esque one we have now, however I didn't like the yellow collar, mostly because the ISC collar template didn't lend well to it being a different colour, and it had close to the least amount purple of any other jersey!

I agree on the collar. I'm not opposed to a full yellow collar but a full yellow ISC collar is a bit much. They do a split collar as well (although it's just printed on) - we have it on our new home jersey. Something like that might have been a better choice for the 2018/19 jersey.

Another change I would have made on the 2018/19 jersey - the yellow trim on the V seemed too thin.

Speaking of our jerseys and branding - I've come to appreciate our new logo despite its imperfections (don't get me started on them) but I'd rather have the original logo back.

It's definately "lacking" in a few departments and could do with tweaking but I get that its on trend with how sporting logos are evolving around the world into a new "phase" that logos seem to go through each decade

Very nice. Give it a shot with a thin silver stripe either side of the purple chevron (like the Tigers have). I remember back in 2000 the Storm had these jerseys they wore but they replaced the yellow with silver grey, and it worked a treat- they should've made their colours navy, purple and silver IMO

I don’t want to follow a trend, though. With sports logos it always comes back to tradition. Sports teams build up so much equity and emotional attachment to logos and then they just change them whenever. I’m all for cleaning up a logo over time but ours has gone a step or two too far. Despite being the same basic idea, it’s lost the character it once had.

They recently tried phasing in silver instead of yellow last year, mostly with the membership merch, and there was outcry, the yellow camp is VERY vocal

Very vocal =/= very correct

The navy/(reddish) purple/white and gold reminds me of when they were Ribot's team, and a premiership that was won off the back of Super League's casualties. The club at the time hadn't forged it's identity yet and was at least 5 years from the beginning of their prolonged period of dominance.

Silver, while not really used during the "glory years", feels like a natural evolution of the streamlined navy/purple/white that was used during this period. Plus it fits the theme of a gloomy storm in gloomy Melbourne.

Keep yellow for the alt and heritage designs.

I think of whitish blue through to purple as common. Yellow might be condition-dependent and common elsewhere, but I've never really seen it in the flesh.

Speaking of the Rams - I don't know if anyone else has ever come across this before, but if you go back to 1998 in the ladder records on the NRL website, it has a weird hybrid Bulldogs/Los Angeles Rams logo for the Adelaide Rams.



Not sure why they would have done this. I can't even find this logo on Google Images - so it's not like someone just Googled and picked a logo concept by mistake.
