No, he's more of a bassett hound.

You could be right

I actually prefer something like this to the leaping panther design

attachment.php

Still, I'm sure they could re-work the leaping panther to make it look less like the hound of the baskervilles.

Actually, I've changed my mind

There are some great hounds of the Baskervilles out there

Maybe they should change their name to the Penrith Hounds
It's interesting to note that the Panther, Puma, Cougar, Jaguar and Mountain Lion are ALL the same animal. I kid you not. They are the same species.

No they aren't. Cougar and Puma are just different names for the Mountain Lion as everybody knows, but the Jaguar is a completely different species.

Yeah no.

Cougar, puma and mountain lion are all different names for the same species but jaguars are a completely different species of big cat native to South America which is more closely related to the extinct cave lion then the cougar.

Panthers technically are not a separate species or subspecies of big cat rather a melanistic colour variant of Leopards and Jaguars. There are also rare reports of unconfirmed melanistic tigers and cougars, but so far they only occur in folklore and unconfirmed sightings so and they're existence is currently unknown to science.

Though there is a subspecies of Cougar called the Florida Panther it's colouration is not that of a black panther and no melanisitc Florida panthers have ever been confirmed.

No they aren't. Cougar and Puma are just different names for the Mountain Lion as everybody knows, but the Jaguar is a completely different species.

Yep completely correct.

Saw this online, big fan of these posters.

But that last Norths jersey there - I never recall them wearing that strip. I know they wore the same design in predominately red, but I've never seen it in black. Not to mention the fact that they have the ARL logo on it, which actually came before the NRL (which can be seen on the jersey to the left)

Can someone confirm?

Yeah, I'm a big fan too, but having the NRL/ARL badged jerseys in the wrong order is a lazy oversight.

Also the black jersey in last position, I'm sure I've seen a photo of them playing in it, but very rare and an odd choice. The red version you mention would have been much more apt.

I also think the 2nd last design, Citibank sponsorship would have been the more fitting jersey to celebrate

I really think they should go back to the leaping panther motif of the old badge, just modernised and presented differently. I still think this (from the same designer) is the best proposal I've seen, though it doesn't match the colour scheme they want-

I'd love that logo.

That is brilliant.

These on ebay are cheap knock offs of original prints. Printed in Asia and sold from there. The Norths Leagues jersey has the wrong colour and style collar.

Saw this jersey on eBay, thought it was interesting. Don't think the Storm every wore this jersey (colours reversed), but to me it looks pretty much spot on to what I think the Storm should wear

Here is a mock up of 2014 Penrith Jersey I would like to see.
It fits in with their new catch phrase "RESPECT THE PAST. CREATE THE FUTURE"
There is a rumour gold might be introduced to go with the teal.

Would be the best in the league, but wishful thinking. No doubt they will come up with an abortion

I was watching last years yesterday, and no doubt this years is the same, but a LOT of the players were from NRL, anyone know the rules regarding this?

Not being racist or what not but I know whitey wouldn't be allowed to come have a run for my open 3s team if he wanted...

Open 3 team? The knock out is a one off weekend comp.
It is one of the biggest cultural events in the Aboriginal community.
So yeah, 'whitey' probably wouldn't be allowed if he wanted......
