Unless they ditch their current plans, WT will be getting a new jersey
got that from the marketing manager a few weeks back

from the sounds of it they havn't even got the design ready yet, but hopefully they will be going for a more traditional jersey; either for the JV or the new club itself

Purple isn't the primary colour for the Storm....at least when the club started it was Navy Blue was primary with gold secondary, whilst white and purple where their to 'add' to the jersey's depth.

That said Reebok seems a bit obsessed with the purple, especially in all the Storm gear they have produced for 06. It will be interesting to see what happens in 07 with Reebok able to make a new strip if they want.

They should stick with purple, most people easily identify with it as being Melbourne's colour - and up to three other clubs already make use of the navy colour anyway - purple is a pretty individual and striking colour.

I suspect the Warriors will be as is Vodafone resigned until 2007 in 2004. If the Warriors get some Nein airtime they'll probably resign again. Vodafone are one of the most recognised sponsors in NZ - more people know who sponsors the Warriors than the All Blacks. (Its Adidas btw)

Sleeve - probably still Lion Red
Lower back - Nissan Forklift Loadlift
Pants will probably still be Western Union and some other brand i've forgotten about.

For the Raiders, hopefully the CFMEU logo gets integrated into the jersey a lot more effectively than that giant white square... looks terrible.

That's not true. Proton is staying, but it looks like the sleeve sponsor will change.

I sincerely wonder if the Dragons are considering changing their all-red 'Steelers' jersey. I suspect it's cursed. Have they won anything with it?
Go back to blood'n'bandages I say. I know they dont wan't to let the Steelers side of the JV lose it's identity but from memory it doesn't have a great success rate.

If they are going to release a new jersey for next year an initial design would have had to have been submitted to the NRL some months ago. From experience the NRL take a little while to sort these things out (that's not a criticism either), then by the time you meet with them and your jersey supplier the whole process takes around 6 months and then your supplier wants at least 6 weeks lead time to make them.

Tmmah,

The Storms primary colour always has been navy blue... The reason behind this? It is the sporting colour of Victoria, the purple is just a secondary colour which actually has been increasing in space on the jersey since their inception. Personally, the navy needs to be the dominant colour if you are going to have the two together...

I know, I read that.

I'm simply of the opinion that they're yet another team to come in with that navy blue colour.

We now have Melbourne, Brisbane, Parramatta, the Cowboys and Roosters all with that navy. Silly argument I guess but imo, purple is a unique colour and it's a good idea to use it to differentiate them from other clubs.

Souths have had their away jersey for 1 year.
IIRC the NRL says a club must have a jersey for at least 2 years and an away jersey must be white or a minor colour, EG Panthers Teal away jersey etc

Happy to be proven wrong though.

I do know that is what Souths have released as being their away jersey next year... it looks bloody ridiculous IMO

If it's that skintight they should be ashamed of themselves.

That's just a photoshopped image. But apparently they asked the players who all said they prefer skin tight jerseys (not that tight, but like Parra's jerseys for instance).

Whats this supposed to mean?

What new club?

i think he means alternate retro maggies and balmain strips

the mystery deepens.

but with WT getting a new sleve sponsor next year, the only real thing that matters is that Tigers fans will again be forking out another $150
