haha that's just your club trying to sweep sweep early praying that precedents like ben barba's 12 weeks and corey norman's 8 weeks arne't forthcoming...

get your vass ready

That's your opinion and that's fine. I would applaud any club who disciplines there own players. Most are scared to at this point. Barba was a automatic 12 weeks after 2nd positive and Norman was suspended for 8 weeks after he was caught with drugs, filmed taking drugs and performing a sexual act as well consorting with known criminals. 8 weeks probably isn't to bad considering. Weather the 2 kiwis get a bigger suspension I don't care but it's good that clubs are willing to discipline there players.

Why is that the case? Coke is a prohibited substance.

There's likely to be a court finding identifying the substance - probably with a police lab report. Then you have CCTV footage of them ingesting it plus some public admissions from the players. Pretty solid evidence there. ASADA didn't need positive tests on the peptides thing.

Also where are the police charges for the two of them using the above evidence?

Yeah. If anything it is the fault of the two clubs.

We lend them two kiwis to play for their clubs and they develop them into giant men-children who can't act responsibly without strict supervision.

LOL!!!

Annesley:“One of the things about clubs being on representative duty is that they are employees of NRL clubs and we loan them to representative teams and we expect them to be supervised while they’re away from the club environment,”
NZRL: "We had them for a week...You've had Kevin for months what have you been doing with him".
Annesley:.........

it will be an embaressment for your club if the club sanction and the nrl sanction are poles apart....will make your club look soft on druggies

the clubs are well within their rights to question the protocols and resources of the national team..it's the national team ffs, they should be more defined.. all clubs are used to a football manager who is responsible for ensure there is at least some level of responsibility by the club to ensure no mischief occurs, after all it's their brand that gets damaeged...where was the kiwi football manager?

on another note, this has to put the spotlight on the melbourne storm and a possible drug culture down there that gets missed because they're away from the sydney media spotlight, and the melbourne media don't care about them

If there was a drug culture the Herald sun will report it.

And if they aren't poles apart? I'll wait for your appreciation for the storm and titans quick disciplinary actions.

you'd be lucky to get a column bigger than the squash results in that mexican paper

I'm just working off the assumption based on how the telecrap treats the game up there. The age would be all over it too given they are self appointed arbiters of all that is good and proper.

This part of the inconsistency problem, if NRL has a more standard approach then clubs could invoke it and come out looking tough whilst the NRL could talk about the bigger picture. If this is their first offence then they are being treat harshly in consideration of the standard response.

being out partying at 5am after a test match is for the NZRL and clubs to deal with in house. Apart from the snorting it doesn't sound like either of them were misbehaving form an NRL reputation point of view.

they didn't start getting smashed at 5am,

So f**king what? Do you need mummy next to you at the pub every time so you don't drink too much or do something stupid to get into trouble?

No. You regulate yourself and if you act like a merkin you cop the consequences. Why should they be any different.

That's fine for the individuals except the clubs brand gets damaged so they prefer to err on the side of safety...

As the nzrl are loaning club players they should be expected to show the clubs the same courtesy
