Why the f**k are souffs in the ad?

There are three primary reasons

They have the most members and therefore have a claim on being the best supported team

They are likely to finish in the top four and are relevant to the camaign

They wanted to show footage that highlights why lol@souffs is a way of life

I never said bring her back, I'm just saying that campaign has stood the test of time which you can't say about any of them since.

Has it?

Its remembered more for its success than it's format - and half of it's sucess was because it sprang off What You Get Is What You See - which was the real winner because it showed players human side "Some guys got looks that you cant help kissin mwa mwa mwa" - cue to a surprised Geoff Bugden. That was the REAL winning campaign. Simply The Best dined of that - and IMHO they f*cked it when they made Tina do a duet with Barnsey.

This Is Our House was really saying "F*ck off AFL", and I thought it was good, without being brilliant. I get knocked Down was f*cking awesome - second only to What You Get.

The best one I reckon though wasnt even an NRL ad. How DO You Feel with Ray Price scoring the match winner against Manly. Did as much to promote the game as anything else.

The Knights are not featured at all in the ad. For that reason alone it's bloody fantastic!

dont like the song. concept behind the ad is cool, love seeing kids kicking for their players to score tries.

but as an "anthem" it's underwhelming

From 1995 to 2003 based on NRL advertising alone you would have no idea that the Cowboys even competed in the same comp as the Bulldogs, Broncos etc.

Now for some wharkin reason, everytime they show those try scoring clips it's always tries scored AGAINST the Cowboys:)

Can someone explain to me how you can put every club in the comp in an official ad except one?

And don't give me the "but you've got your own regional one" bullshit.

Serious answers would be great :p

Honest mistake? I'm gonna bet at least one club has been left out each year, if not more - and by no means would it be deliberate.

Saw the ad for the first time yesterday. Visually the ad is great, I like the integration of NRL footage and kids playing in the park/beach/backyard. The song is utter tripe though, very flat and unmotivating.

I made it my business to have a look at the last couple of years and you'd be wrong. Sure there are a few if you blink you miss it moments, but every club has been represented in recent years anyway.

I couldn't identify all 16 teams in last year's ad or the year before's tbh

I'd happily have the Sharks not in the ad rather than constantly being the team losing or scored against.

well...

the NRL are still a bushleague organisation that couldnt organise a root in a brothel if craig thompson was CEO.

The NRL didnt see any good knights highlights from last year so decided to leave one of their biggest clubs out...

The NRL manages to not put in great players like Paul Gallen and Danny Buderus. but Chris Sandow is in it for no reason what so ever

They need a way to get Parra fans excited about something.
